Weekend Protrotype Photo Challenge "Wives/Significant others" Ends July 13th Hi all, did ya miss me while I was on break last week? Never fear, I'm back and ready for some fun. *Please read all rules as they may have changed from previous weeks* If you notice a typo, error, or confusing statement, please notify Mr. Train or Mystere immediately for correction and clarification. Photo Challenge Topic: "Any Photo taken byWives, and or Significant other" 1. All challenges close at 10pm Pacific Standard Time, and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread. 2. Please use the challenge as a motive to take a new photograph rather than using a photograph that you have taken in the past. 3. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!! 4. Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged. 5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully. 6. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will not be included in the poll. 7. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between Friday July 10th and Monday July 13th. 8. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct. 9. On July 13th, all entries will be put up for a public vote, in which all members of Trainboard may vote for their favorite entry, regardless of whether you submitted an entry or not. Voting will be unlimited multiple choice. We look forward to seeing many contributors, remember this is to encourage all photographers to take a shot of the subject rather than post a photo taken in the past.
Note Just to clear up any questions. I could not do a Prototype scratchbuilt/kitbash contest so Mark and myself thought it would be fun to do this. Now this is trainboard and I fully trust all members to follow the rules. I also under stand there may not be a wife or significant other in all cases so I will allow daughter, son, grand child, sister, brother, mother, father, must not be a trainboard member. Any subject of the photographer's choice. Any other question please ask.
Whoops, I just re-read the rules and I see that it was to be a photo TAKEN by a "significant other". My bad. I guess that rules out mine, should I take it down? It's no problem if I should.
Based on the rules as I read them, I don't thing anything posted so far counts; unless Buddy's wife took the photograph he posted. :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused: :tb-confused:
Hmmm, this is what I see.. "Photo Challenge Topic: "Any Photo taken byWives, and or Significant other" A few lines below the *Please read all rules as they may have changed from previous weeks* text. Do I need glasses?
It just dawned on me after combing the rules and looking at your post that my pic wasn't even taken inside the time range. Sorry. Fail.:tb-confused:
Whoops! Looks like we have some confusing here... Ok, the idea behind this one is to open up the challenge to photos taken BY significant others. And I was under the impression that this could be past or present because lets be honest here, our wives/significant others probably aren't as train nutty as we are , so this only helps open up the playing field. If my understanding is correct, Mr. Train just forgot to take out rule 6 and simply punched in the dates for 7 out of routine. But alast, I've been wrong in my assumptions before, so we'll have to wait for Mr. Train to jump in here and give the final word. For now, please keep your entries posted. Everyone gets the benefit of the doubt until the facts are known.

Yes to all, Rule number 6 is still in place. The idea was to take the other person (who ever it is) with you and rail fan. You had last week off to do family things now get out there and hit the rails. These contest were meant to be a surprise and fun at the same time. By springing the contest on you on Friday and needing it posted by Monday makes you get out and get involved. This one just said take some one with you and get them involved with what makes you happy. Remember I always said two photos still makes a contest.:we2-policeman:
Lisa has made her choice Lisa and I attended the Colorado Railroad Colorado Railroad Museum 50th Anniversary Event on Saturday, July 11 which they ran several engines around the track. While I was taking video, Lisa took over 300 photographs and she has pick this one as her favorite. Rio Grande #346 Colorado Railroad Museum 50th Anniversary Event July 11, 2009
Mrs. Train contest entry I got tired of waiting for the train, so mr. train is double checking before heading home. Of course, half hour after getting home heard a train whistle.
