    I've read the ad thanks.

Until your link, I hadn't seen a CSX GEVO with High Numberboards before, so thanks for that. But as I don't model CSX it doesn't really help me. I model CP and their GEs only have low numberboards - and FVM are not doing low numberboards, as stated in post #177.

IMHO Matt has backed myself into a corner with his choice of language; it can be read as 'we will never release a version with low numberboards'. I could've lived with the decison on whether or not a low numberboard version being released will be dependent on how successfully the UP/BNSF versions sells at launch.

    Steve,I agree..
Matt is doing 2 different cabs and 3 different bodies while overlooking the low number boards just doesn't make good marketing sense since he could do (say) CSX AC and DC GEVOS in a wider choice of numbers plus a correct CP GEVO.

IMHO lowing the number boards would be some serious rebuilding.

While I am not a true er-ah,ahem "detail specialist" I never notice the details you mention since I haven't really study the GEVOs and only seen 'em at track speed....However,I did notice some of CSX ES44ACs had high number boards.:D

Would I overlook these incorrect details if I wanted a CSX GEVO? Maybe, but,I would need to think about it since I suspect the MSRP will be on the high end and with that type of pricing I would expect the model to have correct details...

The issued for me is that the FVM Gevos would be run with my Kato CSX AC44 that are correct and have all those detail that the FVM model does not have so they would look out of places to me. The prices on this is comparable to what Kato is selling it new -9 and ACe's, so it is tempting to get them and then do surgery to correct them.

Talking about quality.... In my opinion, i'd prefer to have an engine running perfectly well (like Kato or even better) with wrong numberboards than a fully correct body that stays at the pit during a layout session :mooh::mooh::mooh:

So please tell us, if you know ANYTHING about it :

How is this model supposed to be running? 5 poles motor? etc.
Did the test runs turned on well ???
