Weekend Modeling Photo Challenge "Passenger Service" Ends June 15th Hi all, did ya miss us while we were on break last week? Never fear, we're back and ready for some fun. *Please read all rules as they may have changed from previous weeks* If you notice a typo, error, or confusing statement, please notify Mr. Train or Mystere immediately for correction and clarification. Modeling Photo Challenge Topic: "Passenger Service" 1. All challenges close at 10pm Pacific Standard Time, and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread. 2. Please use the challenge as a motive to take a new photograph rather than using a photograph that you have taken in the past. 3. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!! 4. Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged. 5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully. 6. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will not be included in the poll. 7. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between Friday June 12th and Monday June 15th. 8. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct. 9. On June 15th, all entries will be put up for a public vote, in which all members of Trainboard may vote for their favorite entry, regardless of whether you submitted an entry or not. Voting will be unlimited multiple choice. We look forward to seeing many contributors, remember this is to encourage all photographers to take a shot of the subject rather than post a photo taken in the past. Lets see some passenger service!
Mark, would an image I took last night (Thursday night) squeak through, or is the rule that images taken any time during the contest-proper are the only ones eligible? Sorry to be a thorn in your side. :tb-err:
Thank-you, Sir. Oddly, despite my question, the properties show the image was created today at 1046 hrs, but I assure you that I did take it last night...late. I didn't download it until this morning, but properties is properties, so here she be:
Here's something I got running after my recent trip home. A Life-Like 0-6-0 reworked to run silk smooth forward and reverse, pulling 3 Bachmann "Old Timers" and a caboose.
Who would've thought on May 8,2004, when I got off the real 4194, I'd still be out on disability. At least I'm well enough to meet some TB members next week in Portland.
Makin' the grade. Didn't have much time this weekend to do any modeling (made 22 trips on Thomas the Tank Engine at the Museum). But between runs I managed to slip into the model train center and grabbed this quick shot of an L&N passenger train in an O guage diorama. It's not much, but---.
Denver UNION Station We stopped by Denver UNION Station over the weekend to catch the "Disney's A Christmas Carol" Train that was in town and while there we stopped downstairs to visit the Platte Valley & Western Model Railroad Club. Here is their HO Scale version of Denver UNION Station.
There's about 6 hours left. I know we have some un-tapped passenger scenes out there. Grab your cameras and make an entry! The more the merrier.
SP observation car awaits pickup at the San Antonio Sunset Station. This is an oldie Concor detailed with a wire antenna and a few grabs. Interior is painted, but no people.
Holy cow! All the Z guys must have just logged in and voted. Socalz44 just jumped right up and is now tied for first with r_i_straw! We're gonna need more votes again. Remember, any member of Trainboard is welcome...encouraged.. to vote!
Mark, Sorry this is a shock to you. Just for fun let's look at the title of the contest. While all show a train only three entries better typified the spirit of the contest, with a passenger train, a station, and many other modeling examples in the photo. Mine it seems is the most popular so far. I'm not sure that even 10 of the votes are from Z scalers, who do not traditionally vote in these contests. Best photo hands down is Coverton's, best example of 'spirit' of the contest title............? Cheers, Jim CCRR/Socalz44:tb-err:
