This week Mr. Train thought it would be great to get a blast from the past. Over the years there has been thousands of exceptional photos shared on the boards here. This weekend, we'd like you to choose your single favorite photograph.

*Please read all rules as they may have changed from previous weeks*
If you notice a typo, error, or confusing statement, please notify Mr. Train or Mystere immediately for correction and clarification.

Topic: "Your Favorite Modeling Photograph (Must be/have been photographed by you)"

    Contest Rules:

    • This challenge will close at 10:00 PM Pacific Standard Time Monday May 4th 2009 and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread.

    • Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!!

    • Though not required, commenting on other peoples entries is encouraged.

    • Only one entry per participant so please choose carefully. Please choose the Cutting Room Floor Thread to share the entries that did not make the cut.

    • For entries to be eligible they must be photographed by the user making the submission. Any entry found to be of someone else's photograph will be disqualified.

    • Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct.

    • The topic this week is "Your Favorite of All Time Modeling Photograph"
Good luck. Spread the word. Since no "new" work is required, let's shoot to break the record for number of entries! If we get 50 or more entries, I'll contribute something special for the winner! :-x [IMG]

I could not choose so asked my wife which of about half a dozen she thought was best. She narrowed it down to two so I flipped a coin. George Washington chose this one.;)

3 entries in just over 2 hours! You guys sure knew exactly which photo to go with. I have only a handful, but it's going to take me a little longer to decide. I might have to resort to the coin-flip as well.

Spread the word, keep em' coming!

WOW Ken. Just look at the light and shadows on those trees!

Envirodude- Very nice matte on that brush on the right. With a sub-pixel edge blur and some added vibrance to the background plate, I would have had to refuse this picture mistaken as real. :p I especially like the way the foreground brush blurs over the second loco.

That makes 5.. at this rate we will definitely hit 50 entries! [IMG] I'll have to discuss with Mr. Train the possibilities of 2nd and 3rd place prizes if we get that many entries!

I have several really nice shots that I could pick from (for my tastes), but this one hits home for me with the white cold, and the warm black coming out of the cold blackness.

Great photos here and no doubt many more to come.
My choice is from my British layout after 'rain'.

All my favorite photos were taken by someone else. There have really been some good ones here. I like mikelhh and his natural daylight shots.

Thanks Flash :tb-biggrin: - while the layout does get some light from outside, that scene was lit with triphosphorous fluoros and an angled floodlight.

Grampy, love the water effect. I am interested as I am going to model a similar fast flowing river on my layout. What did you use?

Thanks, Ken: Magic Water, WS water effects, and clear silicone sealant, smeared real thin with my finger on waxed paper for the falls.
