Looks good, one question are you using poly fiber for ground cover?

Thanks everybody! This scene turned out better than I thought it would, it's a keeper for sure.

It is part of my ground cover process, but you can't really see any in these recent shots. I use it just for heavy undergrowth.

I went into detail about my ground cover back on page 9 and 10:

I still am amazed by the quickness and quality you can "finish" as given area. I realize a layout is almost never finished, but you have the major preliminary stuff done so quickly sometimes.

    Thanks, glad you guys like!

I brought the ground cover down to the river banks today.

Planting some trees. Ordinarily I would add some crushed leaves on the ground before adding the trees, but I ran out of my store of the stuff and I can't shred some new leaves because they are all outside under 8 inches of snow! Ah well.

    Caleb,

I've been showing your photos to my wife. She can't believe that the scenes are of a model. When I told her your age, she was blown away. She now thinks I should be able to do the same. Right!!!![IMG]

It is always a pleasure to look at your thread.[IMG]

Beautiful. Could you share your tree recipe? Some of the best I have ever seen. Sorry if I ask so many questions but I am just about to this point on my layout and you are a real master at this stuff! Jamie

Caleb, you continue to inspire and teach with your posts. A few things I note as exceptional are: 1) the placement and grouping of the trees, 2) the slope up to the tunnel face, 3) the great, but very believable, variety of texture, 4) the similarly great variety of color within a narrow palette, 5) the cinders along the roadbed. It takes a keen eye to reproduce this so naturally. This is really very special.
