really nice looking work that you have gotten done there. Looking forward to seeing more of it as you get it completed.
Great scene! You do great work integrating your scenery together- the grassy hill with the tunnel bore looks like the real deal. Quick question (and I am sure I missed the answer earlier) - what brand and type of ballast are you using in the most recent shots? Jamie
Thanks Jamie and sorry for not getting to your question earlier. The ballast is Highball Products N scale Light grey. Its super fine and looks a little "2D" on its own, but with weathering looks better(Which a haven't done yet).
And finally! I threw together this American Model Builders Farmhouse kit. Theres still some work left to do on it, like painting the chimney and adding an interior, but for the most part its finished.
If you just "threw" this together, I can imagine what you could do if you took your time! lol I have an AMB elevator kit that I haven't started yet. How did you paint your house?
Thanks guys! I brush painted the main walls with white acrylic paint, these walls warp like crazy so I had to paint both sides of the wood and let them flatten out under a few books for a while. The Gray trim was painted with a can of spray paint. I painted the all the trim pieces at once while they were still together on the sheet. And the roof was just brush painted flat black!
More progress on the tunnel! Ground cover and trees gave been applied to the tunnel area... I photoshopped in some backgrounds to these images obviously. Looking down the bore.
The scene looks GREAT and your Photoshopping of the backgrounds are almost perfect. As someone who does graphics work as part of my job, matching a 'shopped in background with a model scene is not an easy thing to do. Jamie
