Well, yes. But I was wondering if the particular reference was about that one specific place for some reason.

My maternal great-grandmother emigrated from Ireland to the USA, April of 1866....

Wow, that's meta. Are we supposed to post pictures of ourselves that we also took ourselves ? :)

OK, I'm game. Here's one I took of me that appeared in the letters column of Cerebus #116 (1988). And if anybody knows what Cerebus is/was, wow, major nerd cred! :)

I don't recall ever being on TV (or even watching that show), so probably not :)

In any case, my comic book days are well behind me. These days I'm wasting all of my non-train fun money on my Trans Am (yeah, the whole middle-aged guy thing)

It's pretty darned cool, though :teeth: (top line is with the NOS, bottom line is without)

Hmmm, what would it take to entice you to become the Organist at our Church? We have an organ with nobody to play it, a lone model railroader who would like to have a local club or at least another modeler nearby, cost of living and taxes that are w-a-a-a-y lower than CA, and the 3rd lowest gasoline prices in the Nation (Reg @ $3.28/Gal)....think about it. Of course there's one minor consideration, our Church doesn't pay any staff except the Pastor...oh well, I tried. LOL

I'm sure the cost of living is lower anywhere else but Southern California. I'm not the organist for the money (although I am on the payroll) - I'm basically a dragooned pianist that the previous organist trained. I'm not supposed to be a professional musician anyway - I'm a graduate of the Naval academy - not known for its music program.

    The only way to travel

Excuse the stupid grin, but I just couldn't help myself... what a classy way to travel, on board the Montana, LA to Seattle, all day, all night, and all day. Life doesn't get much better:cool:
