    For the UP expert :
    > a question about the "Heritage" units , do they always put them up front on a lash up or it happen to be the only pictures we see when they are up front ?

D&RGW Heritage on the Ogden Subdivision

I'm not completely sure what they were up to, but this setup came from the North three times, stopped in Trenton, Utah, and then took off back North between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM on 6/14/2010.

I missed the first run and arrived just as the train was getting up to speed the second time. I tried to catch it, but it pulled away as I was going 65 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. My very alert wife snapped the pictures so I could see it. I was pleasantly surprised when it came back for a third visit.

I model the D&RGW, and had hoped this particular engine would show up someday. I have a great view of the Ogden subdivision from my front yard.

    Here is one ....

Old Glory waving in the breeze. This unit train was paced by my Suburban at 70mph. It's headed South (compass) or West ( time table) between El Paso, TX and Orogrande, NM.

Here is another I found (my favorite )..............

The engineer this day was Ed Dickens, Jr.. When I talked to him in the yard display area he stated that they were doing 70mph when passing through Orogrande, N.M. in May of 2006. If you have never stood within 50 feet of a large steamer doing 70 mph you have really missed something. All I can say is AWESOME ! !
