I dunno if it is rare, but it is a little odd:

    Hemi,
The GP15-1 is neat (and we need one in N scale) but I love the shot of the 1408. That is such a cool unit! :) :) :) :)

The last 2 were Cheyenne, WY captures.

For a small-town presence in Cheyenne, BNSF sure ran a lot of neat stuff from Denver-Laurel!

    If it's an ex-Frisco in green, it's not odd, it's sacrilege- but that's just me.....:D :D

BTW, I shot a GP15-1 in the BN "whiteface" scheme with BNSF lettering in an eastbound BNSF freight on the Transcon in western New Mexico last summer. I wonder if BNSF is gonna paint any of these in the new colors......

Apparently, whoever said BNSF had sold all SD9s to a leasing company was misinformed.

We still have 2 SD9's in Spokane, the 1710 and 1725, the 1714 was also here but it went to ? Interbay.

There's an SD9 at the South Seattle intermodal yard, but it's too far in there for a number. What's up with that BN caboose?! Looks like nice, one off paint scheme.

Is that caboose now considered a "shoving platform"?

Either that, or in work train service, Bob. I really dunno. Either way, it cool to see a caboose still working for the RR!

I suppose that's an oddball up in the great white north. Down on the transcon, that's STILL what I like to call CORRECT!
Anyway, they still roster what 23 of em.
Of course, with BNSF, if it isn't a dash-9/AC, Mac, ACe or Gevo it's by definition an oddball nowadays.

In that case, we have nothing but oddballs in Sherman- an ex-Frisco GP38-2 in H1 colors for local switching service and an ex-ATSF GP50 in blue & yellow (with a GP60) for locals. The rock trains are now using Dash-9s, but were running anything from SD45-2s to GP60Ms to SD40-2s.
