Weather turned rainy, and once again CSX has decided to only run at night through Holland this weekend -I think they're trying to avoid me. So this is about the only shot I could come up with - CSX local Y121 bringing cars back to Waverly Yard in Holland Michigan Monday, July 16, 2007.
Well me n the wife decided to make an 80-mile round trip to Effingham for a photo of the IC/PRR crossing, along with a Wally world stop. This is the IC/PRR station there, IC baggage is the building on the left, PRR, right, and tickets n waiting is the middle building Amtrak still uses the IC/CN side.
Thanks for the comments guys! Believe it or not Mt. Garfield can look even more spectacular when you catch the sun setting a little earlier in the day. GREAT shots everyone!! Ben
Excellent entries again I'm so impressed with the enthusiasm of these challenges actually the prototype guys are going to a lot more effort than there modelling counterparts
Inch 53 your first image was deleted as you entered a second photo. GT Rail I also deleted the image you posted. Make sure you are ready for the next challenge would be great to see some Northern Territory Railroading
Very good contest... it's hard to choose the best one... Congratulations all the members for your photos
Try using a disposable. You will be amazed at the results. A lot more goes into these photographs than meets the eye: The photographer being in the right place at the right time, (an art unto itself) Composing the photo Knowing how to use his equipment Taking lots of shots hoping one will be worthy of submission Once they review the photos recognizing which one is best and posting it Giving it a title that has a ring to it My entry to this was going to be similar to to two others but theirs I expect are more interesting and more likely to get the vote. That said the reason I did not post is because I missed the deadline. I'll post it in the "Ralfan Photos".
Forgot Paul, I do have a crossing pic from the NT if its not too late! FreightLink's FQ01 leading ALF23 across the terminal road on their way to the turntable to be turned for the return trip to Adelaide.
sorry Mitchell the rules of the challenge is that the photo is taken during the 72 hour period. The challenge is all about motivating members to taking photos for the challenge, so be prepared for the next one
Ahwell, my bad. Atleast I took that in the morning, so I can use it for the next round (if it is a morning challenge)
