Hey we finally got a couple nice days here in ILL. and I got, what I hope is a good photo or two. Now just need to figure out which one to enter. inch
Darn it, don't know what the -- I was thinking. Guess I was just happy for a nice warm sunny day. Oh well still got a couple good pics to post else where. Sad part is rain forecast again for tomorrow, maybe Sun. will be ok
You can always find a topic to post your photographs before/after these contents. A good place to see what topics they might fit into is to check out the "PUN" Topics - A consolidated list... topic. :lightbulb: :lightbulb: :lightbulb: :lightbulb:
How about "Didn't make the directors cut" or "Found on the cutting room floor" for photos that don't get in to the contest? You could post photo and why it didn't make the contest and contest name:yes:
I got up early to try some sunrise shots. Well, the weather did not cooperate. This was shot looking east into the rising sun and you would never know it.
Nice foggy shot! What siding is that? East of Great Falls, MT are some former Milwaukee Road tracks. Overgrown and weedy, they lay in silence; they are but a remnant of what used to be a major transcontinental competitor:
I'm going out tomorrow to shoot my entry. I have a "million" different places going through my head of good places to shoot.
Great fog shot, makes me not want to take my camera out cause I want to vote for yours Like the weeded look too. Maybe I'll get out and see what i can find.
That is one leg of the Thompsons Wye just west of the Brazos River. That is where all the UFIX coal trains leave the BNSF Galveston Main to go out to the power plant on the old Cane Belt right of way. Map coordinates: 29.500900, -95.597460 or +29° 30' 3.24", -95° 35' 50.86"
Here is my entry for the contest. This siding isn't used anylonger in Chadwick, IL. This siding was used to deliver feed ,coal and loading corn for outbound. Today it is just a memory of the past. Photo by: Barb Imel aka wife of Mr. Train.
I didn't have to go far from home for this one. A beautiful warm day, a walk in the park, and my entry. This is Enchanted Island:
Mr. T I was hoping for a picture like that on the C&I today but had to settle for a couple "less spectacular" SE of Rochelle. If I had the time I was going to head to Hazelhurst to that old unloading siding for a shot. GREAT SHOT!!!
Close up of a switch Shot this today in the industrial park of Rochelle IL. Lots of neat industry in this part of the "Hub City"
