Manifest identification codes for BNSF

Anyone know how to obtain the destination codes (i.e GALTUL= Galesburg to Tulsa) for the BNSF?

I see them from time to time in photo posts.

i hate posting this because i hope someone answers ur question about the codes and im not trying to change the topic, but can someone explain what a manifest is?

like, ill see posts from people saying things like they saw a train doing a manifest or something... well, are there different types of 'train trips' or something? are there different jobs and purposes that trains do as theyre going down the track? if so, what are the different jobs or trip types, and how can u tell the difference?

I consider a "manifest" a mixed or general freight. It is different from a "unit" train with all cars the same type.

 

I'm in your corner. I know what they refer to as a manifest but I'm not sure how to explain it.

Do they use these codes on radio traffic? I've never heard them. Just seen people discuss these on forums

 

Not really, most of the time we just use lead loco ID (i.e. BNSF 8220 West).

usually the dspr uses the city pair codes to indicate the train ie.

Z CHCSSE 1 12 A would be called by "Chicago- South Seattle"

some of the old head crews know them by their old train numbers ie.
1 or 3 etc and they will also use those.

You can always use the loco numbers for ID.
