Jurg, awsome looking picture. I just wished they make the engine in z scale. Thanks for posting the picture. Randy, do you know why it would have a caboose.
This looks like some kind of track testing train or MOW. The windows appear covered and it would explain the caboose. It does make an interesting train to model. Rob
Hmmmm. i'm not seeing the picture, only the red X in the square. i even tried posting the link, but still with no success. am i the only one not seeing it? dave f.
David, I am not sure what is the problem. I can't see it in my laptop, but I can see it in my desktop, so I dont think is a link problem.
Here is the link to the website. There are more pictures about this train. http://wparails.cjb.cc/unique_consists.htm
thanks jurg. oh cool! that would be interesting. were these Amtrak cars that got the yellow stripe along the windows? ok john, what's the verdict? are you going to paint this one up? (inquiring minds want to know). dave f.
Okay, not a MOW, but a train with a traveling art exhibit. Very interesting! I wonder what year this was. Rob
David, they do look great, but I am still working on my office cars, and finding a good price on passenger cars on epray is getting harder and harder. In a different note, I just got a new book. The title is Modern American Diesel by Greg Mcdonnell. Its a coffee table book with lots big pictures. There are some awesome pictures of DRGW tunnel motors. I got it from Amazon for $18 including shipping.
thanks for the head's up. someone had an ATSF set at a "buy now" price of $119. i don't think a 6 car set will go any cheaper than that. you want to split them? i only need an obs and a baggage car. dave f.
