Just wanted to post a couple photos of my latest Intermodal project! This is a test etch. Needs about 10 hours of program tweeking! I have several projects to get out the door before I Tweek it! Will post more on results of Tweeking in about a week! Hobo Tim
AWESOME - I'm first on the list when you are ready to make some of these for us folks! Consider this my pre-order! Nice.
Ok, so what is it with the NS guys. Dont they know that CSX orders are fill first. Tim always fills the order alphabetically. Sorry Jurg, that means you will get yours last. Did you receive your Mi-jack yet. See, U is almost the last letter of the alphabet. Smolder, are you finish with your snowshed module yet. How about some updated pictures.
Thanks for asking shamoo737 Do you remember the last pictures I showed? With the foam and filler...nothing changed. I have all the scenery just lying next to it. I get caught up with school. Every time I'm starting to investigate how to putt the scenery on I derail and have to start all over again. I can't get anything done I was thinking about making a topic about it and get some help. If you guys do a part of the thinking for me then I might actually get things done.
Smolder, I think that is a great idea. We have a lot of experts in this forum that can help. Also, we may see something that you overlook. Its it derailing at a certain spot? Have you check the gauge of the curve. The bending of flextrack can cause the track to go out of gauge. AZLs are very finicky about track gauge.
VERY COOL Tim! Did you do this all in the last week since I visited?! I think the etched model looks great. i can't wait to see what you actually have to tweak on it. I'm "Pre-ordering" some of these as well, assuming that you are going to produce some of them. No rush, I need to fatten up my wallet for a while anyway. ;-) I guess I need to get around to sending you (and others) those NSC well car drawings I promised 8 months or so ago. Randy
John, i think he meant that he is getting caught up in other things (like life in general) and the PROJECT is getting derailed, not so much the trains. I know the feeling well. I can say however, that I am within a week of getting one of my two big honey-do's crossed off the list. I have about maybe 5 hours of work left to do on my daughter's room. Then I just need to finish unpacking/cleaning up the basement so I have some place to work on my trains. Then I should be able to "play" all winter for the first time in a while. ;-) Randy PS - the astute among you will notice that since my daughter just turned one and I still haven't finished the room yet, I now have to refer to the room as "my daughter's room" instead of "the nursery". ;-)
Dooh, that is what you get for reading too fast during breaks. On a different note, the Maxi III is in South Florida. I got a package waiting for me in the post office. I got to work a little late, so missed the delivery. I am surprice on how fast it got here. I din't expect it till next week.
Yup. I picked mine up from the PO yesterday. That reminds me, I need to upload some photos from my recent trip to Atlanta for Harald, but haven't had time yet. randy
about the Maxi III's you recieved! John, Randy! Study careful the pieces of the Maxi III. Make sure the "A" & "B" main bodies are indeed the correct etchings. The "A" and "B" main bodies that I recieved are for the regular single Husky Well cars. I have already contacted Harald and he is sending the correct "A" and "B" main bodies soon. How do you know, well, the "A" and "B" main bodies are slightly different from the "C", "D", and "E". The ends on the 3 middle cars have short ends one both sides. The "A" and "B" main bodies have a short end on one side and a regular long end on the other. So, half of the body is a regular Husky. Check to make sure the pieces you have are correct. if not, contact harald. Hobo Tim
Okay Tim, I buy your whole stock of this cars and all future projects so John (Shamoo) can't order anything from you.
Thats ok Jurg, I work in the post office, so I can intercept any package Tim sends . Just look what happend to he coal porters. Yes, they are all in South Florida.
