Yes, pass exchange is a great thing. You make a lot of new friends around the world. Interested? Look at my site for pass exchange. Wolfgang
I am thinking of doing a pass and need help getting started with the whole concept. Everyone I am looking forward to getting some of your passes too...
OK. How about some examples? http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showgallery.php/cat/701 In this album is a scan showing some samples in my collection. http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showgallery.php/cat/697 In this abum, you can see several real railroad passes. Styles can vary. Square corners, round corners, print, reason for use and more. Boxcab E50
A year into our new house, and with construction commencing on 2 layouts, I'm now getting back to sending out passes. (Hectic year!) Those who received original Milwaukee Road Dakota Division Passes, my N scale, and would like copies of the one I've done-up for my HO scale railroad, please PM me and I'll send them to you. New passes being sent will include both the N and HO scale railroads. Jeremy
MRL- There are a couple of ways people exchange passes. One is the electronic or "E-Pass" version. Where you download from a web site. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the second method. Mailing back and forth via USPS. I feel it's more personal. And can be a lot more fun, as some folks include letters describing their empires, maps of the layout, created histories and more. I have received all kinds of neat stuff. Passes can be made in business card size. Or the larger size which is more traditional. Business card size works fine. However, due to size, space available for RR name, slogan, logo, etc, is limited. My version was created using MS Publisher. And I print them off here at home, six to a page, on a light card stock available from office supply stores for making greeting cards. If you have questions, please ask. Boxcab E50
MRL Mine are printed on Post card stock two to a sheet then I hand number and sign before mailing. Count me in when you get ready to print.
Paper Pass I'll trade my pass (paper) with anyone on TrainBoard who PM's me with their mailing information. Agrees to return their pass (paper) to me. Gary
I will PM you shortly! If you know of anyone who'd care to trade, please (PM) let the rest of us know. I have trader name information that might be helpful, which could be sent your way. Boxcab E50
If you want a Westport Terminal RR pass, not only an e-rail pass, here's my addy: passexchange Wolfgang
Back in the 70's, I used to participate in RMC's "pass exchange" and enjoyed it very much. I'm happy to see the idea still survives. I have printed some on my printer (business card size for now). If anyone is interested in an exchange, please PM me.
