That's a really nice scene, Caddy. Very nice. Love the trees, the overall effect, and how you've done the backdrop, giving a feeling of depth. I like the lighting, too. What kind of lighting are you using? And where did you get the trees?

While I'm not necessarily a WP fan, I did have fun researching and doing this custom build & paint job:

That's a rebuilt Kato NW2 chassis with one of my resin shells.

That 501 is sweet, hoping Kato does a WP version of the NW2 they have out now.

Luvin it, great Highline train, especially like the fact that I am not the only one running Zephyr and New Image schemes in the same consist.

I did that more to show all the transition color schemes over the years short of the BN merger ... the two flats with the fire trucks were to attract the kids ... worked too! :shade:

    Wobblies On The HP

Nothing to write home about. I'l just share a few snapshot of my wobblies...WP equipment. Look out for that one real stern looking wobbly...grin!

The first snap shot is a WP hot shot and Santa Fe Coal Train in the hole waiting for the AT&SF San Francisco Chief to clear.

The second is a very real but stern - grimacing wobbly with a WP sweat shirt on. He looks to serious to be me. I was trying to make up my mind about a change to the track plan and it wasn't easy. However, once the change was made I got to try it out...it worked!

The third is a a WP see-sawing back and forth in a hidden stub end yard.

The last snap shot is one of my favorites. The WP California Zephyr and the SP Lark waiting clearance and the order to highball.

Scenery to come later... I still have work to be done on some bridges and sidings to install. A whole lot of tweaking to be done. Plus switches to wire in.

Those pictures posted here... prior to mine.... really shows off some home grown craftsmanship. You've captured the spirit of the former Western Pacific and all I can say is WOW!

Sometimes just trying is the best experience.

TJS, By far better then anything I paint. Nice work!.

Jerry, Thanks. I can't wait to get the scenery in. Those of you who have scenery are fortunate and it compliments your equipment. I'm getting closer as each day passes. So stay tuned for news from the HP.
