I'am still wating for the some one to come to their right state of mind and starting painting eng's green like they should be painted. The Great BN is what it will allways be to me even in the ugly paint color.

From the very beginning BN was incredibly Bad News in the Pacific Northwest region. No matter who they merge with, that Bad News will Spread Fast!

Not so much a RR nickname, but a nickname for a paintscheme: "Grungestain". This is applied at any Executive-painted SD70MAC, that for lack of better words, needs a new paint job.

I've heard the term Grimestain used as a derisive term for the Exec scheme, and ansl for former BN chairman Gerand Grinstein. Add this to the Green Weenies, Cub Scouts, Goat Boats and Fleet locomotives............

BTW, it's Buffett's New Super Frisco ................... but then again, I'm kinda prejudiced..... :D

I was told a story, at my LHS, about a customer who came in looking for a locomotive and it had to be BNSF. He literally said "BUNSF". So for fun I usually call them Bunsfs when I see them.
