Good morning from cloudy, cool and rainy Northeast Ohio Not much done with all the bowling activities taking place on the weekends and my normal bowling during the week, but I did some preliminary work on some models. Athearn 60' Boxcar kit, ready for painting I did paint the roof and masked it then added the detail parts afterwards to avoid breakage. Also worked on an old AHM Helium Tank Car, removed some of the cast on parts and replaced them with wire grabs and left over ladders and running board from other kits. A pair of Athearn GP40-2's with an auto parts train heading for the Delta interchange with the N&W. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Rick Jesionowski
" I also worked on an old AHM Helium Tank Car. " I can tell that's a Helium car because it's floating.
@r_i_straw, excellent disguise! @Candy_Streeter, excellent building! @SP-Wolf, excellent gas station. @dti406, excellent undercarriage detail! @SecretWeapon, excellent over and under!
Wow! You guys are fantastic. That last one from @rjthomas909 made me exclaim "wow" out loud. And @Candy_Streeter, I can see why you're window shopping there - the interior detail is amazing. And the rest of you, top-notch work by all of you. Keep it up.
From 02/1988, the engine terminal on my N Scale road. Turntable is Arnold Rapido, track is Shinohara. Unfortunately, this section of the railroad didn't survive the household move that came three years later because there was no room for it in the new house. The rest of the layout went on to lead a long life.
Those are some amazing layouts and photos... My newbie to Z Scale (almost 2 months now) I built these Z SCALE GCLaser rooftop kits very early this morning. Rooftop Billboard & Roof Water Tank I think they kinda look decent on the REA Transfer Warehouse I have partially completed (waiting for extension Kits to be restocked) to complete. @ ZosoRailway The GCLaser Z Scale Billboard Kit now has permanent advertisement forever Have an Awesome Weekend everyone...
Wow, I was wondering how this prototype pic got in here in the wrong post-but that's a model, holly molly!!
Finished up a ex-Penn Central GP40 now lettered for the DRGW. The DRGW got a few of these units of Conrail heritage in the 1980's to supplement their roster. This one had 4 different fans on top for the dynamic and engine cooling fans. The prototype. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=354487 at West Colton 1984 My Version in HO scale. Now to get it out to the MRR and put it to work. Thanks for stopping by and takin a look.
B&O GP-40 locomotives lead a freight through Leiperville Union Station. Locos are Atlas Master with Command DCC installed. The other night I switched the jumper from DC to DCC on both locos so now they are fully DCC.
So did I! At first glance, it was "what's that doing here?" A few seconds later it was "Wow! That's some mighty good modeling."
