    Unless it's a digital clock/watch.

    Or even a "smart watch!"

That said, I've used round-faced smart watches with traditional clock faces (even if digital images) for the last several years. I like the additional functions, and tie-in with my phone.

But unlike my grown children, I recognize the "useful" time much more quickly on an analog display (with hands) than on a digital display.

They never say "quarter 'til four" rather than "three forty-five."

But I also like to see what an incoming text says, or who's calling, a sports score, etc. without having to take my phone out of my pocket.

today i printed a lumber car (convertible from flat bed to lumber ) it came out pretty good i think . the original was over 100 mm long so i made a shorter one . I (MAY ) print the original i dunno yet. Ill have to chop it up to print it like this one. but not to bad for a filament printer......had a couple strings not enough for me to worry about....

BM 1755 just received a heart transplant: a full chassis swap from a later LL GP20, and MTL couplers and pilots.

CNW 1722 awaits a new motor and the same coupler/pilot treatment.

Did you design the 3d model yourself? I have been thinking about getting a 3d resin printer because of the appeal of making it easier to fabricate parts or hard to find models. But was never sure if getting over the learning curve of 3d modeling and printing would actually make it faster.

platpus no i found it on thingy verse and chopped it up with tinker-cad so i could print it with out supports. there's a lot of stuff to print . ,But in order to print them with good details you have to cut them into parts then print them one part at a time. (with a filament printer ) resin printer you dont have to. But there is a lot of stuff you can not print on a resin printer because there to big. i can print just about everything with pretty good detail.
Things that are hard to print real good are very small parts (couplers , wheel sets ect ) .
i take many things from tinker and other sites chop them up and make other parts from those cut up parts. (im not smart enough to figger out how to design my own parts with cad type software and i can not learn cad software other than tinker. (ive tried so many times , i get frustrated and give up BAD trait i have) Each printer has pros and cons . I cant justify the resin printers cost for parts needed. If money were no object i would own both.

Well some updates to the layout and other additions. I scrapped the elevated parking garage over the tracks because of operational issues. The before

    And the after.

That also involved moving the grade crossing from its location to a new location. Now I can get to the turnouts to service them.

I am also dissatisfied with the pedestrians crossing the tracks to get to the station so the station set of stairs and elevator shaft are being removed to locate them off of the main drag in town.

So two Kato overhead pedestrian bridge kits have been ordered from Japan and will be kit bashed into one structure to end up across the street from Effie's bar and grill.

The station elevator will be located there also and has already been removed from the lower station platform under the stairs.

And my latest passenger train. Introducing the Night Rider a sleek Otto Kuhler designed all pullman overnighter between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. Train has an all black exterior with deep purple accents. Features a power car at each end. The windows are a deep purple tint that allows one to see out but not in.

It started as this Starwars themed kit and each car is powered.

Finished testing 8 boxes of locomotives, about 130 Kato locomotives and a dozen or so Atlas locomotives per box. Got one or two more boxes to go, and then it is to fix all the locomotives with bad decoders before I start ordering new decoders for the locomotives already in the on deck circle!
(yes I am a crazy nut case about baseball. it is something I shared with my dad since he took me to my first Yankee game in 1966, I have a signed baseball with all the players on the 1966 team)

A complete tear down and rebuild of a brass Hallmark 4-6-2 into an SP P-8 with fresh piping, running boards and all the bits. Separate thread to follow soon.

Back at the wiring for my station modules. Overall the modules operated flawlessly in regards to the mainline. The DS64s worked perfectly via the throttle, but that's where the fun ended. Every time I powered the legs tracks into the station area the DS64s would cycle all 5 turnouts randomly without commands issued. So now I have to figure this issue out and the DCC forums, Digitrax IO group have not been much help. I'm going to try and isolate the track power lines from the switch lines to see if that helps.

Man, that looks cool. I'm the last guy on the planet to have not known, but I learned a few weeks ago that Class FEF stood for "Four Eight Four".

And apparently I can't spell/use "your" vs "you're" correctly either! Ugh...

My late mother is giving me a very disappointed look right now...
