There was a minor discussion about vegetable stands awhile back and I scrolled through the archives but could not find it. I don’t recall if it was on John B’s layout or Boston Jim’s. Anyways, because of the interest by several, I had put the bug in ALL SCALE MINIATURES’s ear about the need for vegetable and fruit stands in the scale. Well they finally got them finished and posted on their website. https://www.allscaleminiatures.com/ They sell them individually or in five packs. I picked up a five pack of each and thought it would be worthy to share with the forum. Small crazy things like this are hard to find and Z-scale. Their website has quite a few other offerings for Z-scale, some practical and some not as much. But these vegetable stands are a welcome addition.
I got those a couple months ago. Someone, maybe you?, had posted a link to that site, and I went there and ordered all kinds of stuff, upright piano's, fruit and vegetable stands, etc., at that time.
Thanks, Lance I like these. I will be getting some. I like some of their other stuff, too. One can't have too many fine details. I do have a couple of projects that include outdoor produce stands on my Columbus Ave. build. Store fixtures would be nice to have for all those empty Miller Engineering buildings I know everybody has a few of. Thanks for sharing the link. Merry Christmas. Jim
It could’ve been me. These guys are literally in my backyard here in South Dakota. About 10 minutes away. They actually are a manufacturing company that does 3-D production specialties and even have their hand in the aerospace industry. They operate under another name for their major production products. The owner is a model railroad fan but does not necessarily build or have a layout. Great guy! He figured he needed to do something with the excess resin from the regular production line, so he started making model railroad components.
Nice produce stands. I bought a pack of barrels from them for my scow and lime kiln projects. I wish they had some more older era stuff. Scott
Scott, yeah I remain a bit disappointed in their offerings when it comes to older details. However I will tell you this, they are very open to suggestions. So if you have something you’re looking for just email them and offer the suggestion. Allison NEUGEBAUER is my main point of contact. She works the local model train shows as well selling their product. I will tell you this she is extremely busy but regardless will always entertain suggestions.
I did pick up their luggage and cart as well. I tell you this stuff is really small. And is going to be a challenge to paint. LOL
