Yeah, i need to touch up the paint on the roof of a few of them. They were not much more than shacks with a roof on it. Roofs sagging were kind of normal. The town i kinda copied was only a town for 6 years. The buildings were left like whatever shape they were in. They just fell down into a pile of junk.
As soon as i can get the order from Mike, I will get back to work. I got more i can do but not sure if i should. I could plant trees but not sure if that would make it harder to lay down the matting. I may just hold off on that. The last of the shots is below. Enjoy. I am going to run trains.
My order came in today so , i guess its time to go to work. I have one more thing coming and i can most likely finish the rough scenery.
I started to work on the fencing around barn area. Had a bit of trouble at the cattle car ramp. Kato has a higher roadbed so i had to make changes to it. Got it glued down and ready to finish the rest of the fence. I can add some wildlife to that area. Some weeds would look good too! A couple of shots below. I still have one more thing coming so i can do smaller jobs.
I started to do the same with the new poly i got. It looked good till i put it on the layout. Its too light, so..I am going to darken it down even more. I did part f the poly today. I think some brown paint can tint it down some. Shots below.
I did a bit today but the weather is making for a hard time working on the layout. I did get some poly down and different grasses and earth. It looks better but i need the Hob-e-tac to dry so i can push the poly into the places it is supposed to be. I tried to run a train last night and some of the poly got caught on the cars. I put more tac down and today i was able to get it to stay down. I am too sore to do any more today. The left side of the big mountain is still not done. I did get poly around the tunnel entrance and out under the small bridge. Shots below.
It may be a bit before i can work on the layout. My left arm is giving me issues. On and on pain and numbness is causing me to drop stuff. I don't need to scene the floor. Not sure why the arm now but i may have did it while sleeping. Dono. laters all
Once one of the kids at our Church asked me if my Senior Picture was really a cave drawing... I hate kids...
Deacon KC, join you there. There is gatherings at our church. I don't go anymore as the kids get so loud and feisty i can't handle all the noise.
Oh, we've got great kids [thank you good parents!] and this was a kid in my HS Boys Sunday School class. Now, that Church has both the Main Pastor, the Assistant Pastor' wives and an Associate Pastor are all kids I taught in Sunday School and both Pastor's wives are Grandmothers now!
I still go to main services and sunday school. I just don't go to any of the family socials anymore. They get all loud and kinda like fighting as some kind of game they play. They throw themselves all over the gym at the church. Last one i went to some of the kids were the pastors and assistant pastors kids fighting and making the loudest noise. I love my church but just not the older kids, 6-8,or 9 year olds. It makes me want to get all bent out of shape. Not good. They asked me why i quit coming and i told them. Don't think they liked my answer and i don't care. Its supposed to be a church gathering not saturday night fights.
Well, I tried to do some of the mountain. Didn't get much done. Have a couple of shots of what i tried to do.
hehe Thats the fun part. Its taken me 10+ years and 7-8 layouts to get a plan i liked when i put down some track. This plan is 6B. I added a foot to one end and that changed the plan from 6A. I think i got it all down now. no more changes to the track plan.
