Feel kind of lucky to find all of these NIB from an online dealer. I missed a lot of these 2015-2018 releases as I was not really paying attention to trains at that time. I was particularly excited to get the fuselage sets as the MTL 2021 release which is painted and lacking the ice breakers/clearance rack where the former is more in line with what I see IRL.

Remember this little jewel from about a month ago. The Tsugawa TGW TMC 100 M of W critter. Well I finally got the time to take it on its maiden run. Set the locking device on the power pack to not exceed 4.5 volts. The critter is powered by a 4.5 volt motor. Put the little two axle critter on the track and slowly advanced the throttle and it purred off down the track. A little hesitancy at first but after 10 minutes it smoothed right out. The top end is about a scale 40 mph at 4.45 volts. So far I have had it down to a crawl. Very quiet and you have to put your ear next to it to hear a little Hum.

I have yet to attach the front and rear tow hooks for the two trailers I have and I have four small sets of trucks that I will try and build more trailer cars.

The two axles are spaced exactly 13 N scale feet apart and so far no issues through the Unitrack #6s or the Kato short rad turnouts.Hopefully they will do a few more critters, This one is pretty much sold out.

This morning I broke out my video camera and after about a half hour of fumbling I came up with the test run of the new critter at full speed, 4.45 volts, with the two trailers attached.

That is full throttle. Could not fumble with the cam and adjust the speed down. Next one will be a creep. This is a run with the two cars and like the earlier video of a month ago they stay on the rails for such light little things whether pushing or towing and at speed. Trust the Japanese to get things to perform right.

Moose needed something for to make roofing shingles and no wanna pay tens of dollars for commercial textured material, so da Mooses visited the local crafts store and picked up these textured paper sheets for less than $5.00.

Sure, the don't have the exact imprinted look of roofing tiles or shingles of scratch building materials like you can get from MRR suppliers, but Moose plans on getting sooo nearsighted that it won't matter what they look like...

Now to figure out how to best use these to make shingles...

I've gone back in time by decades with this latest purchase. Funnily enough it runs fairly well for what it is. Cheapie Atlas / Rivarossi E8. I was going to use it to experiment with - I have a coreless motor the correct size.

Well this will rip your ration book. I managed to get a freebie tonight and boy what a great loco this is.
It's a Rowa 2-8-8-2 Y6B. It's a non runner but when power is applied separately to the motor the wheels start turning which means I can rescue it have make it a runner, so here it is:
The shell is intentionally not on properly - it looks hard to get off if I let it snap back on.

The last N scale items I purchased were soldering and turnout building supplies. I think I will get the rail roller on the next order for easier curved turnouts.
