The tie down chains in the front and back should cross to be prototypical. I don’t have any personal photos (too busy making sure nobody ran anything or anyone over) but there are lists of videos on you tube to watch railloading ops. The crossed over chains or straps do double duty. The chains going just back and fort only halt forward/backward movement. Crossed they do that and halt sideways movement. Learned that as a child back on the farm. 60 years ago. I believe it still works that way.
The first time that I ever railroaded in CONUS we had to put 16 chains per tank. Eight in the front and eight in the rear. I got put on the rail load detail because I had just PCS’d to Ft. Hood from Germany where we rail loaded all of the time. Rail loading in the States was very different from Germany. In Deutschland we used four chains per tank, two in the front and two in the rear. Everything about rail loading in the States and rail loading in Germany was different. The only thing that was the same is that we were putting tanks on trains.

Hobby Shop visit to exchange my #6 Remote switch @Hardcoaler , YES, and a few other items that jumped into my hands Man this hobby is expensive, but spread out, most of the time. Some Just Plug extension cables and new Cool White LED's! What's the difference in Cool & Warm LED's? I bought the Cool ones.
Cool white is brighter and bluer, and tends to accentuate/brighten colors, where as warm white is more yellow/reddish. Incandescent bulbs are normally a warm white, while florescent lights are often (but not always) cooler. Paradoxically, cool white has a higher color temperature than warm white, just the opposite of how we humans intrinsically interpret it.
Thanks for the explanation, glad I got Cool White Already hooked one up to try it out, me likes Apparently the two LED's that come with the Just Plug Hub starter thingy are Warm LED"s, although after you mentioned it I DO see the Blue tint, but not the Red tint in my original ones. Maybe they changed them. Bought it like 4 years ago or right after they came out. But I like them all, even if they are really expensive. Still hate the tiny wires, but nothing I can do about that. Me like easy things. Me lazy!

Lots of good electronics goodies. A couple of keep alives to have on hand, ESU switch pilots for my upcoming layout and some DCC light boards with power packs I will be installing in an old Kato Milwaukee Road passenger car set. The switch pilots are going to replace some Tam Valley servo controllers I had for the task of turnout control. The reason I opted for these is primarily because they turn off signal and power to the servos once endpoints have been reached. Anyone who works with servos know that unless you tune them just right they tend to buzz when holding position and therefore wear out sooner. Unlike RC it's not necessary to keep them energized once turnout position is achieved so using that feature with these switch pilots should help extend the life of servos significantly. The additional cool feature is that all the programming for them can be done through some built in buttons and OLED in each unit. Total price including servos for 8 channels is around $10 per turnout control if using the DCC accessory functions. A little more for switches and position indicators (redundant to position indicator in the OLED display) if one wants to control that way instead. For those with frog power concerns this unit also switches power to those so really a neat unit all things considered.
