Taken 09/04/2021, NS Train 212 rolls north on the former SOU main at Taylors, SC. She originated in Atlanta and is headed to the former Erie terminal at Croxton, NJ.
Kind of washed out, but still a favorite memory for me. About 35 years ago, this guy showed up at BN Interbay (Seattle), WA. Seen here about to be run through it's inspection before being sent back out again:
The southbound counterpart to Hardcoaler's NS 212 above, today's NS 211 pulls through Wyo JCT on NS' Harrisburg Line heading for the ex-Reading Rutherford Yard with a TBOX tucked ahead of the intermodal cars. The eventual destination is Inman Yard in Atlanta.
A grainy, probably over-processed HDR view at the Harvest Moon a few nights ago, rising over the old GN yard in Minot, ND. CP train 293 rumbles west over the Des Lacs River, just west of Burlington, ND:
Crossing the Missouri River, bug splats and all. Was really hard getting a good shot out the front of the dome toward the end of the trip with the accumulation of insect innards smeared everywhere. Amtrak has now forbidden anyone on the rear platform or with the upper Dutch door open on a vestibule while the train is moving. Big fines. It seems a rowdy group of revilers ruined it for everyone while in Austin, Texas when partying aboard the El Patron Tequila Express car.
KCS 4006 leading the daily eastbound train M338 across Eastern Iowa Sunday. Top to bottom- A)West of Jesup B)Winthrop C)Dyersville D)Dubuque Also UP, KCSM and another KCS GE were in the consist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't know if you will appreciate this, if not I will delete this post. A little adjustment to your picture.
Not a problem. I tried playing with it myself. It seems to want to go to that same blue-ish hue as seen here. So I just left it was it was. It had been a rainy morning and the sun popped out. With other power and rolling stock around, that was the only photo decent angle, but unfortunately also into the sun.
Way too many jerks in American society, these days, and they need to be punched in the nose. Sometimes, violence is the only thing idiots understand. Doug
