Had me going for a second there..........Now that I'm single again [don't ask why] I've been rethinking the owning a caboose again. I have the $ and the room, but do I really want to pull the trigger? I think I'd be better at just sticking with the INDIANA RAILWAY.
Very nice image, maybe make a banner "Cabooses [plural for caboose is?] lFOR SALE" and have a group of potential Buyers gathered around.
It's images like this, that cause me to go OFF TANGENT at times!!! LOL LOL I'd better stay in the Basement.

I model modern BUT I can't seem to drop the idea of running with a caboose. Must be age related........

There used to be a restaurant chain named Victoria Station that lashed up box cars and and 'cabeese' to create really cool dining experience.
Unfortunately that chain went under about 25 years ago. The ambiance was great as was the food. It was a bit pricier than similar restaurants but worth it. I would love to see a 'reboot' of that type of restaurant... it would put some of those 'cabeese' back into honorable service.

They still use a caboose here (Murfreesboro, TN) for switching. There are a couple of industries where they have to shove the cars about three miles so they put a caboose on the font and someone rides the caboose directing the engineer by radio. There is also a whistle mounted on the caboose that uses the brake line air that they blow for crossings.

It's still done here in eastern Wisconsin. Green Bay to Milwaukee. I've seen a antique switcher shove one onto a siding and just let it roll.
