As beautiful as it is, this is not a functioning station. All of the accessories and clutter which should be there, is not. You can see inside the windows, it lacks the usual displays, signage, etc.
So, is it some other kind of business, or museum, or ???. That's a lot of money to put into it without some sort of return (or public funding, re: museum tourism bureau, etc.) I've seen restaurants in renovated gas stations before. In fact, isn't there a restaurant named "The Gas Station", or similar, in Austin or San Antonio?
99 There's a restaurant down the road a few miles from here that was put into a former garage. They were a repair shop, then a sound system installer. It's at the other end of a strip mall from the place I get my tires. One can fit a fairly large dining room in some of them. They just need that special "garage smell" cleaned out...

Does anyone have pictures of tire valve covers? I remember there were a lot of them. I remember the Crown the most.
I Googled "Historical Tire Valve Caps Photos" and got lots of hits. These may be what you remembered.
I think those are nice but Standard Oils were rounded and didn't have the brass threads. Mobil, Chevron, Co-Op and others also had them. There were also extensions for trucks and Mag wheels. I can't say why I acquired the interest in those but when I got my first motorcycle an then my first car I had to have them. But they usually found new owners. Thanks Rich
I went there (nice) but they don't have two items. The ones with the valve stem remover. Years ago a friend found how popular they were. All four were missing - along with the valve stems. Also the adaptor needed for new bikes. They have different diameters. Metric!
I had some valve stem caps that looked like miniature chrome plated lug nuts. They were stolen real fast.
We have these on our cars. Went with the cheap plastic ones. The only one that's gone missing happened during a trip to the Dealership after a tire rotation!
