One of the logging magazines I used to get had plans for a double decker outhouse and I just had to build it.
I've seen them. I cannot figure out how they would work. Only thing i can figure out is the upper one is funneled to one side and the lower to the other side. Two holes one building.
As long as the smells are programmable. That way we can enjoy the aroma's we want, then change it to ' yucky ' aroma's to encourage less desired visitors to shorten their visits! And the double decker outhouses . . . . . let's just say that the lower level gets everything from above, in a pile!!
I always thought they were a joke, until recently read that there actually were double deckers. It was said they were sometimes used in areas with high snow fall and occasionally at high priced hotels off of second floor balconies so guests wouldn't have to go down stairs at night. I'd have to see photos to belive it. They must have had some type of internal baffles. I guess it would be a literal poop chute! Just think of the splash from the second floor!
I don't think West Virginia has any kind of regulations. They are about 100 years back in time. Or the main part of the state. There are some places That have internet..maybe. My brother hasn't had internet in 15 years since he moved down there. a couple of shots below
I test fitted it to the hotel very close! Tomorrow i will be able to stain it paint and then install. It really looks like the real thing.
Its painted and drying. The doors on the outhouse are the blue using the same as the trim. i will add it to the model later this evening Shots below
Wow, Its been 5 months since i started this layout #5. This week i haven't done much of anything to the layout. I did work on the barnyard and fencing.Today i decided to run some trains and hooked every box car up and took it for a ride. Now lets see if i can get a you tube here..
Other than running trains is cleaning the track and getting it ready for No-Ox ID a special. If you are gonna get the No Ox, get the correct one. There are a lot of others that are not that good and can make things worse then they were to begin with. Donoxit is one that will screw it up. I learned the hard way so i am passing the knowledge forward. The other thing is done is my barnyard and valley fence. So glad that is done! Some shots below. Laters
Back when i was doing research for the layout i found this pic of the two engine engine house. One of the issues i had with the current house if i could fit anything but the Russell Snowplow and the 44 toner. I found this while looking for another scene for the layout. It fits and i like it. So i am building another project..again. Shots below. As always fun!!
