Nope, just curious about it-looks too clean and tidy for a random "rattle can" artist, almost like MoW painted it there?

One and the same. The CODOT built a gaudy green roofed building there now. That view cannot be had cleanly from the highway any longer...

I believe that I took the photo from the bank of the river behind that building.

I skied down from under the green highway bridge below Redcliff to the base of the Gilman mine. There were tracks on both sides of the Eagle River. You can see a slide has come down the mountain and buried the tracks on the other side. Way up on top in the distance you can see some of the mine structures in the ghost town of Gilman.

The Gilman site is now a fully-fenced EPA Superfund Site. The fences are everywhere, rather spoiling photos from US-24. I took tons of photos in this region, but the fences really cluttered them. I think I have one, if so, I'll post it later. I have several others of this canyon. It's breathtaking.

A whole different perspective from the bottom looking up. There are artifacts from the old mining days at every turn.

No, I trashed the cluttered ones by Gilman. Here's a few other views from the highway. The power lines and stuff in the first shot were everywhere. I wonder if they were recently installed as part of the cleanup, as they looked new.

They are also visible in the first photo. Just some rusty tanks. I have no idea what they kept in them.

I was curious, as they seem to be in an isolated location.

Interesting photos. What was mined at Gilman and what are the major contaminants?

Many folks who love Tennessee Pass have seen photos of a rock laying on the severed tracks east of Minturn, and until I saw it first hand, I wondered how the rock in the picture could do all the damage seen. It turns out (and I didn't get a picture due to all the riverside trees) there was a second rock, one that dwarfs the one still laying on the tracks, probably big as a house that did the major damage. You can see it left some carnage in its wake.
