All, I went back to when I originally posted this >Here's one for you. SOO Line 800-809, GE U30C Complete Model Roster, Minitrix N Scale. | eBay at that $ Not A Chance ! It was Dec. 3, 2020 . > Here is it year and Months Later, and it Looks like the same seller still hasn't sold them > SOO Line 800-809, GE U30C Complete Model Roster, Minitrix N Scale. | eBay especially with that Starting $ amount it looks doubtful , even with the bo -best offer- . $500.00 <Starting $. 0 bids Time left:1d 22h left (Fri, 07:16 AM) or Best Offer +$14.98 shipping I do wish the seller good Luck on these. Tom
Actually not a bad price for the ten Soo units. Those were good runners. But trying to find someone who would want the entire batch at once is his primary problem.
This is the case I've made several times here on numerous items. Sellers that have not much else to do in life take the time to post items at stupid high prices and years later, the items are still there unsold. It's clearly evident that these aren't going to sell, but there they remain to build upon the foolishness that increasingly defines eBay in this era. We see only the model trains. I can't begin to imagine the tide of overpriced junk present in other categories.
You can set an opening bid of $265 for this but you can't get off your lazy (woo woo woo) to test it? "Not tested" = doesn't work. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174875114422
Hard to find! Well, compared to bottled water. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265252243328 I was almost going to keep the "hash" in the URL because it's apparent that the seller has been smoking a lot of it.
All, As I Stated in my post Wednesday about these > SOO Line 800-809, GE U30C Complete Model Roster, Minitrix N Scale. | eBay it has been -A Year and Months Later - ebay stated: Bidding has ended on this item. The seller has relisted this item . As I suspected, personally I think it is the $. Tom
What is 'dead stock'? Is that something that hasn't sold because the price is too high so it should be considered dead?
Here's one of my old listings that I originally thought was listed in the wrong place (N scale/Other N Scale) and thought it was a decimal point error. Over a year later and still listed in the same place with the same price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/292880718307?hash=item44310d19e3:g:EUEAAOSwCU1YrODz
At the same time, I spotted this in Other N Scale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/255060597703?hash=item3b62cbdbc7:g:7-IAAOSw1gNg9xCW Even if the HO in the title was accurate, it still shouldn't be in N scale. Don't these people ever wonder why their stuff doesn't sell (other than it is priced too high)?
One more...36" high in N scale is 432 scale feet tall? https://www.ebay.com/itm/362971538344?hash=item5482ca23a8:g:R-oAAOSwlD5el26i
At best, this is junk. Can't even think that the decimal is in the wrong place since the price is $999.95. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265227140347?hash=item3dc0c4fcfb:g:G1QAAOSwWdZg6zqq
This one is interesting. A cabinet for your engines that "was made specifically to hold rolling stock and engines to be taken to train shows safely". I'll skip over the purple drawers and eye bolt handles and instead focus on the complete lack of wheels on the cabinet. In the description it says just the cabinet weights 75 pounds. It looks like each drawer holds at least 30 engines and there are 12 drawers (30 x 12=360 engines)...not even sure how much that would now weight but I'm guessing at least 100 lbs...anyway, the whole thing would weight too much to carry to a train show. Oh, $500 plus $360 shipping makes it too expensive for my tastes anyways. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203048604854?hash=item2f46a3d4b6:g:Cb0AAOSwLgxfDlkU
Anyone for some used track? https://www.ebay.com/itm/324697199558?hash=item4b997613c6:g:Y2wAAOSwLqJg3Ig1
Looks a bit too crudely constructed anyhow. If it was not oddly purple, it could generate a little more interest, but still not at that price.
He's not sure what he has, doesn't know if it is brass or not, but does know it is missing the box and both of the trailers for the car. "I bought these at an Estate Sale and instead of doing hours of research, I will rely on your a fair offers." and yet he has a BIN price (even though he does take 'make an offer'). https://www.ebay.com/itm/313393088471?hash=item48f7af07d7:g:3iUAAOSwGAhf8pmt
Here's some of the above listers other offerings. I really got a laugh with the steam engines that have no tenders (at prices too high even if they came WITH the tender), and then the listing of multiple tenders for the steam engines. Also, didn't know that MT made any steam: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324303440747?hash=item4b81fdcb6b:g:tesAAOSwUE9faNRw https://www.ebay.com/itm/313227409070?hash=item48edcef6ae:g:LSsAAOSwk3lfaNN- https://www.ebay.com/itm/324303450492?hash=item4b81fdf17c:g:-S4AAOSwMSRfaNY2 https://www.ebay.com/itm/324299477179?hash=item4b81c150bb:g:B~gAAOSw9UhfZAa9 https://www.ebay.com/itm/313223090593?hash=item48ed8d11a1:g:rPcAAOSwpYhfZAgS https://www.ebay.com/itm/324299473245?hash=item4b81c1415d:g:2zkAAOSwdAVfZAJT
Two more...N scale Gauge Santa Fe and CN Tractor Trailers on a Flat Platform. Looks like you are missing the flat car that it goes on: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324712614972?hash=item4b9a614c3c:g:oJ8AAOSwWKhg7QmM and there are several cars with no trucks at all: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313606473110?hash=item4904670596:g:XUkAAOSwAEdg8mLW
