I have not heard or read mention of Homestake Pass. I have a feeling it would just be via the present route of MRL. It would require quite an investment of capital to re-open that route. Helena would be bypassed.
Would great to see passenger service over Homestake again , but that would take some BIG money to rehab that section! Passenger train service over the MRL thru Helena and east would be great to see though!
No. I mean Helena would be bypassed, if Homestake were reopened. Politics, politics. They are likely going to want train service, in return for the right kind (supporting the plans) of politics.
