    Hello all

With atlas N scale f100 pickups does anyone if there is somebody printing flat beds or tility beds that would fit them.

    Larry,

The flatbeds and dump bed shown below are not printed, and the trucks are not Atlas F-100s, but using styrene strips and sheets to scratch build a flatbed is not difficult. The dump bed was "borrowed" from the GHQ Ford F-350, but it also could be scratch built with styrene.

If you are going to add flatbeds or tilt beds to the Atlas F-100, you may also want to "beef" it up a bit with Showcase Miniatures pickup wheels. The Showcase wheels (https://www.showcaseminiatures.net/n_scale/n_scale_vehicle_details/W19001.html) are the right size (7.50 X 16) for a 1970s F-250. I haven't converted an Atlas F-100 to a F-250 pickup yet, but here are a couple of photos of the Atlas pickup bed converted to a trailer. The first photo is of the trailer with the "stock" Atlas wheels, and the second photo is of the trailer with the Showcase wheels.

Those F250s with the round bales must have helper springs, as the suspension is not sagging a bit with all that weight... :)

Yes, that is a problem with a rigid (spring less) suspension. ;)

One could file the axle housing to make the bed sit lower so the 1,600 pounds of hay actually appears to be a load!

"GC Laser" makes a bunch of truck beds that fit CMW vehicles. They MIGHT be usable on the Atlas F150, but then again they might not. They are probably too big, all you can do is try one and see.

Love those Ford pickups (in 1:1 scale too)! Nice work and great info.
