Welcome back everyone to that gateway to the weekend. I hope you all had a great week and are ready to get some model railroading done this weekend. It looks like a lot of you got some major work done, lets continue that trend and get started!

Saturday: The day will start early, real early. As in 3:30am early but I would not have it any other way. The photographer I work with and another friend and I are going railfanning on the Transcon from Toluca to Galesburg. This is a trip both have wanted to do and I'm excited to show them the usual haunts. It will be an all day activity with it all ending in Galesburg with fried tacos and beer. Can't wait.

Sunday: I'll be spending more time with my friend from out of town as he gets some throttle time at the Monticello RR Museum. They were selling tickets to allow folks to be trained and then operate on the Museum's newest acquisition, former Chicago and Illinois Midland RS1325 #31! Both of us signed up and will each get turns operating this rare engine. I'm sure there will be more fun as well at the museum and I'm sure beer and hot wings will cap off the days events.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 19th to see how we have done. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

I have another up in the air weekend - no specific plans.
However, I would like to complete the depot name signs that I had started. Get them mounted. From there - is anyone's guess.

    Y'all have a great weekend!

The coal loads I had made for the N&W hoppers I built over the last several weeks arrived yesterday. So I will package up tonight and ship to my brother tomorrow.

After that I will probably spend some time getting Bull Frog snot on a couple of drivers of the Bachmann Berkshire (Kanawha in C&O speak) to get it to pull more cars.

Also spend time on the layout the next several weekends.

    A great weekend to all!

Well, after bowling tonight I hope to paint a 60' PS Boxcar kit that I completed during the week and then decal it along with putting the finishing touches on a NYC caboose that I painted and decaled during the week. Have to start on building another car, have not decided on which ones I will do next.

Will be going to the club on Saturday, possibly taking a PRR Coal train after doing a CP passenger train last week.

Work will continue on the modules. My six footer is nearing completion. A little more paint and a little wiring is all. Give me a week and it will be done

Dory is arriving today finally so the work on the loop will continue and wrap up as well.

If the weather is nice and it gets warm enough there is work to be done to the fishpond. I need to heavy clean the filter box and try out the new pump. The old one died at the end of the season last year. We need to remove the netting over the pond. Since there is a large amount of debris on the netting it is going to take two or three people to move it.
I want to continue working on the Engine House. My orders of switches arrived yesterday so I can finally work on the engine faculties yard some more.

    Good morning all,

This weekend I will continue with the applying decals. The pair of F226 flat cars is almost done so may get the Dullcoat on them. After that I have 4 more un-decorated Micro-Trains flat cars that were painted years ago that need decals. I ordered another small batch of 3D printed military vehicles so if those show up I may start on them. The World's Greatest Hobby virtual train show is on Saturday and I will be looking in on it as well. So a full weekend here, hope you all enjoy yours whatever you are doing.

Sharon and I will be watching a couple soccer matches this evening. My son is coming over on Sunday to share some food and finish his taxes. Between times I hope to get the following done.

-Do a boiler mock-up for the Mikado. I got a chance to turn the first prototype this week. Now to see if works as imagined.
-Assemble a pair of 4' T-trak modules. I need to get this done before the pieces start wandering away on their own.
-Improve access to my screwdrivers and knives on the workspace. This could go off in all sorts of directions, with no obvious solution in mind.

    Stay safe,

Wow! Impressive results. You all, not me. :D Not to whine but this has been a chore and errand week. I did get out into the sunshine some but it is hard to drive and model at the same time. What is not yet complete (but maybe so) is the diagram. I am thinking I have enough to start building. We shall see. To reiterate, all have fun and stay safe. (y)

Have already done a bit of fussing around with several items on my work bench. Also, ordered a couple small items for upcoming projects.

I hope to get my 2' x 4' bases spray painted Black, and the remaining foamboard. I hope! At least that's my plan.

I just sanded these Shapeways boxcabs, maybe I'll get some paint on them today.

What will you be using for the sideframes and chassis?

I have some stuff in etched brass in addition to the Shapeways printed stuff. AS far as a mechanism I have a few Kato drives for electric engines, I may not have enough but I'm going to try to make it work. I also have the working N Cat pantographs to make overhead electric engines.
