I don’t have the pictures on my iPad but on a HO scale modular layout I had a derailment that was completely realistic looking. My cars were done accordion style, with a couple in the river just off the bridge I was crossing. We actually played it up as a real wreck, and brought out a wreck crane and equipment. We pulled my train away with the not derailed cars, then another train came and got the end cars to meet back in the yard, then a salvage train with 6 flat cars came to pick up my derailed equipment. We “rerouted” trains around the wreck until the mess got cleaned up. After my “wrecked” cars ended up back in the yard, I put my train back together and finished my run. The people at the show really liked watching us do this.

I believe I would have enjoyed seeing the wreck as well as the clean-up efforts.(y)

I also tend to agree with your comment about we combat veterans.

    Thank you.

I will try to find the pics. I only have the wreck, and not the clean up. I was too busy working the wreck crane train during the cleanup. Even though we had a wreck train the rigging was done HoG style. Still fun.

Love it! The box top sign describes my understanding of DCC perfectly.

It also is the name given to the Nazi's code machine during WW-II. The British were able to break their code in about two years. It'll take me longer to "break" DCC, if ever.

Signed, The Contented DC Dinosaur.

Don’t feel too bad I missed it too. Helped a friend rebuild the front suspension of his truck. Much more rewarding of an experience.
