Well the control box was a failure for the most part, but I was able to redeem it with a Digitrax command station in place of the DR5000. With the DCS210 in place everything works perfectly with JMRI, and the trains run fine. It’s not as elegant but it works. Maybe a UR93 will make it better in the wireless department... hmm...

Well here is where I ended up tonight, not totally a failure, just not how I wanted to do it.

This is one of 3 Delux Innovations 5 car Gunderson Maxistack III's Set 1 and 3, I purchased 15 or so years ago. I opened them up this morning and found on one of them the fixed bridge coupler section was snapped in half. Surprised DI seems to be rolled into Intermountain. The price tag on the box says $16.95 CDN, what a surprise to see them selling for $90.00 USD. Guess what CA does a great job putting them back together. will just need to be careful.

That new Micro-Mark clamp has come in handy for this repair! So seems to be fixed and ready to roll. Just let stuff set up for a couple of days and back in the container!

What's the plan for those rail whales sir? I really like those cars but have yet to run across one available for a fair price.

    BNSF Fan,

I found these in a box that I moved to my new house 17 years ago. I completely forgot them. I know they are quite rare and can demand a pretty high price on eBay. Since the only one actually built is the GATX 96500, I am upgrading them. I shall run them even though the Wanda never existed. I think they are cool!

    Be well,

    Beautiful work Wolf!
I had never seen that scheme before but they look lovely, and like they were factory painted that way!
    Amazing skills.

    Thank you, very much!!
This is the as delivered paint scheme for the St.LSW (Cotton Belt) - went from 1944 to 1949-ish. After which, they were painted Black Widow.

    Best regards,
    Wolf

Very nice work Wolf. I really like the "Superturbine" casting in background but did not realize the chassis was a Jason piece as well. Sure look forward to a build thread.

Wow. Nice! I had never seen this scheme. There must be very few modelers who have ever created these units?

Probably being the most popularly decorated F unit models, it's not surprising ATSF units likely get re-painted more often than other schemes.

And for a job like Wolf's, it's hard for me to object, even though I am an ardent ATSF fan.
