Bridge is same color as the south one on my Arkansas River Bridge, even the rust is same.

Fort Worth, Texas before they rebuilt this multiple diamond. Tower 55. There are a few cars parked way off in the distance on a siding.

The Lancaster Northern, operated by East Penn Railways, consists of the Northern end of the former Reading and Columbia branch, which also served Lancaster, PA. Trains operate twice a week into Spring Street Yard in Reading to exchange traffic with NS.

Nice stretch of track at a nice time of year. The rails look well polished.

Reminds me of a part of the old CN/CNoR/Montreal & Ottawa between St-Andre-Est and Grenville. But yours still has tracks. Not a "linear park" with asphalt paving...:(

Very difficult to see this way now. Cottonwood trees all around the west end, obscuring the view.

I believe that the tower is still there. They added a third track on the right.

After the shutdown, this was the furthest west still active signal on the Milwaukee Road's former Transcontinental Main. Looking into a sunset of finality. :( Miles City, Montana:

Sunset under Gassman Coulee. A train would have sent this shot over the top, but it wasn't to be.

    I guess it's unanimous - WOW!

But if a train would cross just at that moment, it would have to be steam!:)

Amazing Hemi. So you took that picture? I wonder the odds of that scene and a train actually passing? Beautiful shot!

Russell, since the gates are still down, I think it's a fair bet that the rear of the train is directly under your feet.

However, that's a great picture, also an excellent example of the artistic vanishing point.

Yeah, I tend to have a lot of those type shots. I must have worked in a caboose in a previous life. However there is no train in the photo. :p
