Oh Yea....he also bought a $1.000.00 worth of new tires. He left them stacked against the house...on the unfenced street side !!! I told him to roll them into the backyard...where our 3 dogs reside. He said. "They will bo ok out there for a couple of weeks."...untill he gets back here. I shook my head and told him..."It will only take 2 guys a couple minutes to back in the driveway and load em into their truck !!" He left early this morning. DAD rolled them into the backyard...<SIGH>:whistle:

Hell I would just like a place to work on my stuff without someone getting up my tail about it. Over the weekend I bought 2 2001 S10 trucks. I found out after I bought the first one that it has the sport suspension package which means it cant be used for towing (and towing is what I need), and the second truck which was a 4x4 had a small accident sometime in it's past that was not repaired correctly. To repair it correctly would cost too much. I already know that this would drive me up the wall! Now if I had a place to work, I would take my 3rd (or first) S10's body and put it on the 4x4 chassis. My first S10 is in pretty ok shape, but it has a worn out and tired 4cyl engine that cant tow what I need it to tow. That way I have a truck I like with the running gear I want! Oh well, I will try to sell the 4x4 and find another that was not buggered up. Oh and I bought the 4x4 DOA for a song and dance. I fixed it in the previous owners driveway and drove it away. He was sure it would need to be towed, as he has been trying to fix it for weeks and it would not run. Amazing how well they run when the dizzy is installed correctly!

There was a time when one could leave stuff like this in the yard and it would be just fine, but this is not that time. Sadly.
I grew up near a pretty active gang area, and anything not chained, welded, bolted or glued down would disappear. Sometimes even if it was summarily secured. I am probably paranoid about locking things up as a result.

I find it difficult to understand the belief those were safely stored. The idea is just incredibly naive.:eek::eek::(

Ok...got the NEW led lights attached to the bulkheads and wired in...:D

They really arent as bright as the camera lens make them seem....especially against the ceiling and walls. If you look at the picture...back where the RV windows are covered...you can see the natural sunlight shining in and on the layout. The natural sunlight is much brighter coming through the curtains and on the layout then these 'tube led' lights. ;)

One more pic. This time the camera gives a true representation of the amount of light at the layout surface versus natural sunlight...towards the back right....

    A quick update:

Here is a rare pic from the back of the layout looking towards the front of THERR RV. I attached the pigtails between the LED tube lights on the bulkhead. You can also see my workbench stick out on the right...just past the RV Door. The workbench is 32 inches wide...the same width as the layout itself.

I still have 2 more yard lights to install at the far end nearest to the turntable...across the aisle from the workbench. I believe that is the last major project I have left to do. :D

The space heater is being used instead of the RV Heater just to the right of it (closest to the camera). I have it on good authority from the best HVAC guy I know that electricity is way cheaper then propane to use for heat.

There is about 6 feet of layout behind the closest point the camera was able to capture. :(

I also made a decent video of me enjoying watching trains run from my workbench. The problem I have is that Youtube wont let me log in :censored::censored::censored:. I keep getting the following screen everytime I click the 'sign in' button !!

Go to google and log in there, then go to YouTube. That works for me when I try to log in and get that error. You can also dump your browser cache and cookies too.

    * BREAKING NEWS *

Negotiations continue between the Owner of THERR (George) and THE CFO (Jean) on a possible realignment of track on THERR !!!

George..in his proposal says that he has given the Jean 8 years of elevated track on most of THERR. He claims he had to purchase 3 truss bridges just to to keep the CFO happy!! In the last year George has tried his best to convimce Jean that visually THERR being at ground level would look so much better then Elevated....especially behind 'Jeans Valley' and around 'J&J Horse Ranch'. Now that George has finished the ranch...Jean is seriously considering George's request to lower all track to ground level !:D

George has submitted the following rough drawings to Jean to help her visualize said changes...

PROPOSSED NEW TRACK ALLIGNMENT...once the tracks are lowered to ground level....

A spokesperson for THE CFO said an agreement may be reached at any time with THERR Owner !
