What year were these initially built? I know BN had a schwack of them, SP as well, but I'm not sure of Great Northern would have had some too. These look great!

Oooo...initially I couldn't tell ya. Greenbrier still builds the 62ft bulkhead today. As far as how far back they started I just don't know. They seem to be a pretty heavy hitter nowadays in freight car manufacturing as they make a large variety of freight cars.

There are several Greenbrier cars I am planning.

Amtrak....did someone just say Amtrak in T scale....lol...thats another I have just started initial sketches in for T..

Would be awesome to have the full 8 to 10 car Amtrak string.

I added some great detailing to the bottom of the car and going to test a 2mm magnet in the base of the car...to see if empties can be pulled and stay firm on the rails.....trains this small...gravity almost doesnt apply.

It's a shame that you can't print in metal! Those are going to be so light! Osmium, anyone? Tungsten is too light...:)

I say....I say are there any jewelers in the house up for casting some pewter? LOL!! I wish I could print them in metal...so we are gonna give them some artificial weight with a magnet. Lets just hope this scale doesn't go get crazy and change from steel rails to nickel silver!:LOL::LOL:

Do you use auto-support, or add them manually?

Absolutely manual supports.. If I used Chitubox's auto supports... I'd have to take these to a bench grinder to get rid of the forest of supports LOL!!

Well, I am not going to complain....but much tweaking in is in store.. I must thicken up some stuff LOL!!

The details are there...some of the cars did "ok" and others failed. But... they will print cleanly with some rework in the cad and the printer settings..

The biggest thing was the warping... Light settings and supports in a bit different places..or just a few more of them to help with the warping.

So here they are.. The initial prints... Seems that the T scale printing is just that way...gotta print, look them over and adjust. Also, darn mirroring.. My hand brake is on the wrong side! You can tell the cars printed mirrored as the tall ladder is opposite of the CAD..
    LOL!! Change that in Chitubox.

These are pretty much failures...but show good promise!

Not bad, for failures! Small adjustments will get it there.

Pictures are a bit on the hard side to get anything good this tiny.. Macro sucks on my phone! LOL

Yep... knowing the printers can do it, just a matter of dialing in the fine points. One thing I have learned with these two cars... It's much easier to print square boxy type cars... Anything flat, skinny and long becomes a challenge...

    Challenge accepted! ;)

Revamping the flat car and bulkhead flat to get a solid print out of them.

Now have about 70% of the first Amtrak Superliner Transition Sleeper car completed.

Been a bit busy with extra work in the machine shop and of course...winter is coming so here we go...snow blower out...last lawn mowing complete.. Its starting to cool down in Cleveland.
