This is for the green/yellow scheme with stripes. I've seen pictures of FAs and PAs both with a stripe over the hood from headlight to windshield, and pictures of them without. Is this a variation or a scheme change from a certain year?
I couldn't say, but the New Haven had more paint schemes and variations of paint schemes that I can count. I'd find photos and paint a specific locomotive with the stripe as it appears or doesn't appear. A cousin recently sent me two New Haven Pictorial books last week and I'm amazed at what I see. Even the McGinnis schemed PAs swapped paint colors for no apparent reason, plus they appeared in green/yellow, red/black and orange.
The thing is some N scale models of these locos have hood stripes, some don't (both PAs & FAs) I've been trying to find a photo over an overhead shot of a PA in this scheme showing the top of the hood but no luck. Not talking about the red/white/black scheme.

THANK YOU!!! As for the FAs, I'll just buy the Atlas version when it comes out and not have to worry about decaling it.
