Wow! It appears that brass values continue to thrive, especially for locomotives that haven't been produced in plastic or those that would be difficult to produce otherwise. I guess owners somehow engineer DCC conversions for many of them.
And in a related story, I see eBay has "partnered" with SquareTrade for "product protection." Must...resist...further...comment...
Looks like it's on a launch pad getting ready to go to the Space Station. I will post a photo of it docked to station in my other thread. Haha Joe
ALL , OK, since when did Items like this become manufactured by LIMA ?https://www.ebay.com/itm/LIMA-20026...443149?hash=item26415e194d:g:8p8AAOSwRXFfG0C0 and the JEWEL CASE is clearly marked LL- LIFE LIKE! Tom
I wonder if anyone takes the time to flip over the loco and read the name plate on the bottom which is usually stamped with the manufacture.
Sorry, been there and done that. So now I have no faith that eBay cares enough to make things right. If it was eBay's policy to refund ALL charges when a seller sends the wrong item and I return it, then they would have some credibility. So, I just did not bother to leave any feedback for the crook who not only would not send the correct item with no additional shipping or tax, but also raised the price to reorder after I returned the item! This irresponsible crook has a 100% positive rating, so I know for sure that eBay is not reflecting his actual level of buyer satisfaction. He has done his homework to figure out how to game the system. And, because eBay is always changing their rules, I am not about to try to keep up with the crooks in the gaming business. And, because eBay will not accept feedback without a "comment", what am I supposed to do if I there really was a problem, lie? So, I either leave no feedback or state a fact in "positive" feedback that can serve to warn others. If that is perceived as being "a negative comment with a positive rating", then eBay can ban me for life (and lose money). Since eBay has proven beyond any doubt that money is more important to them than ethics, I am not going to worry about them doing that. And, any seller who is stupid enough to raise the issue will end-up with a bigger ding than I get, because what I leave as comment is fact that could easily be used to open a case against the buyer - it just wasn't worth my time to do so. If some seller is stupid enough and arrogant enough to make it worth my time, I will be sure to make them regret it. But, I am also sure that eBay will not put the outcome in their ratings. Ratings are useless, exactly because eBay has policies to force them to be positive. So, as always, it is "buyer beware".
2008 was when I pulled the plug from being an active seller. Just because of this idiotic one sided system being activated.

Last thing I got from eBay was 2 weeks ago... not model train related. Bought some 60+ year old travel maps for Washington DC and Miami... lived there in DC 60 years ago. Still cost a lot for stuff that used to be given away for free at service stations!!! Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Technically not eBay, but still just as crazy: https://www.amazon.com/Gauge-Scale-...6297&rnid=165793011&s=toys-and-games&sr=1-171 This is why I don't look for trains on Amazon.
