Yes, I like the effect. In the later days of the trolleys lots of tracks were torn up. I need to add some weeds.
Hi Randy These look good, I suppose you will need some of these to go with the speedsters. Line car is coming along as well.
I ran out of Tomy drives. The way things go in my life is well represented with this interurban project. I was decaling the last car (car 63) I was doing the very last decal and I destroyed the decal ! The Speedrail company had 7 of the Cincinnati curveside cars. Number 60-65 were identical mostly and car 66 was an ex Dayton and Troy car. I decided that since it was a small fleet I would just build them all. If I decided at any time that I wanted to thin the collection out a bit I am confident that I could easily sell what I don't want. So now as it stands I am waiting for three tomy drives and a set of decals. I am thinking about building the layout, I have a lot of neat stuff !
My primary interest is in the Milwaukee road. This picture tells you almost exactly when and where the photo was taken. Speedrail came into existence in late 1949. They ran around the Milwaukee area.
I would need to re-familiarize myself with it. As it is the traction is intended as an adjunct to the Milwaukee Road.
I have been giving a lot of thought to exactly what I want to with the traction. Right now I am focused on getting some equipment together. I don't have any streetcars... Not yet anyhow...
I have built two interurbans, have two more to build, two suburban cars to build, and no City cars...
Here's a streetcar that later became an interurban car. This would be a good start. I have 194 North Shore cars painted, lettered and ready for drives. 221 total interurban type cars.. Randy
John - Thanks for the post. Any hints on how to embed the rail into the street? It was difficult to see how this was done in the O'Dell video. Best wishes Peter Peter Harris N Scale Kits www.nscalekits.com
I have some of this stuff. http://proto87.com/ I'll dig it out shortly. Take a look and tell me what you think. I am planning next to do a module of South 5th street in Milwaukee to show off some houses, taverns and such. Randy
I don't think there will be equipment pictures today. I'm slowly working on installing glazing on a hundred or so cars... I'd like to finish my North Shore diners today if I can but they are far down the que Update: Look what I found ! I found three Tomar North Shore tailsigns. Gold Coast LTD Eastern LTD Prarie State Special I wish I had the Cream City Special but oh well. I think these are all Southbound trains, I'll need to look into that. Currently I only have one parlor observation car built.
