Hmmm... in the past 20 years that I have followed Micro-trains on-line... this is the first time that I recall them missing a 1st of the month release announcement.

Over the past few months I noticed that their actual delivery to retailers has gotten later... I didn't get my two MT cars for July until 5 days ago. I am pretty sure this is a result of Covid-19... perhaps having to slow down or close production for days or weeks, therefore messing up their scheduling.

I would guess we will hear from them early this coming week... I hope they are all doing well and have not had an outbreak of the virus there...

Micro Trains is doing something great in the middle of the pandemic. Go to talentppe.com to see a new entity created to produce personal protection equipment (PPE) for our protection. They have designed a line of high quality screens that combined with wearing a mask provides a significant increase in protection. Also they have designed a plastic clip that takes the elastic cords off your ears and is adjustable. Both products are simple to use and comfortable.

The products are well made, inexpensive and made in Talent, Oregon, home of Micro Trains. I ordered online and received my order promptly in Dallas, Texas. I encourage all of our members and guests to visit this site.

    Thank you Micro Trains.

That's really cool!! There are some fine, creative folks at MT (a bit "too creative" for my tastes at times, but they know how to run their business). (y)

Wow... that is great. At this time of need, PPE is far more important than our little trains.

Well, it didn't help that August 1 was a Saturday! (Although they usually announce the day before when that happens.)

I got a weekend off from the UMTRR... mostly...

For my UMTRR readers, the August bytes might also be a bit delayed given the small shift in MTL's schedule.

The August releases are up on the MTL website. There are photos of the first three-pack of TBOX cars.

It's great when companies step up to make items desperately in need.

Totally agree! There are a few items being released for August that 'I' want... but right now it's more important to address what the country 'needs'. So... Micro-trains keep helping the needs of the country... we can wait for the trains.

Hi Bill, I did the same when they were first announced. I received a 10 pack of the ear savers and a face shield. Like you mentioned, shipping was super fast. Thank you Micro-Trains team for these products, they work great (y)

The new DRGW observation car is actually a business car. These were originally produced a few years ago for Lowell Smith's Executive Line of business cars. IIRC Micro-Trains has since produced others in the past couple of years. I have several of the Lowell Smith Executive Line cars... which included some DRGW versions in the Aspen Gold/Silver schemes.
