And these are the trees by the creek end again.

Another on the layout project is fencing around the cement plant. This end is all good now but I have one section I need to adjust on the other end.

I posted this in the what's on your workbench tread but putting some shots here too of the propane tanker I tackled over the weekend. Really didn't expect to get this much done on it.

And here she is. Just needs some hazmat placards and a clear coat of paint.

Another paint job that needed to be done was the large propane storage tank that I built a few weeks ago. I didn't have any flat white but after digging through my selection of rattle cans, I found some white primer I forgot I had. It did the trick and now, here I am again on a project that just needs some hazmat decals and a clear topcoat.
    20200705_141625.jpg

Some other things that have been just sitting for a while include an old Model Power 250 ton crane. While I was looking through my decals for the red and white trailer stripes, I found a set of early zebra stripe Santa Fe diesel loco decals from some long forgotten project and decided I could do something with the crane.so here we go.

And yet again, in need of some clear coat before reassembly

Yet another project that has been sitting on the sidelines has been my M/T Boeing aircraft set. I'll admit that last year (yep, it's been a year) when I first opened this set and saw the 3d printed parts still on the spurs, I was a little intimidated and just set it aside. Now that I have done a few 3d printed trailers, I decided it might be time to tackle this one. Here she is with the parts off the spurs. Decals to follow.
    20200703_184548.jpg

I also uncovered some parts for a building that I never built. It's from a kit that I bought because it had some other structures I wanted for my previous layout but don't have a home on the new layout. This should possibly make a nice office for the future chemicals plant.

Thinking I may leave the window frames and trim blue and paint the building a medium grey color. Also will probably make it about half as deep to save some space.

Other than all that, I repaired the building light I messed up last week and spent some time running trains. Someday I need to get motivated to work on the scenic divide and the fascia. Someday...……..

That is a great paint booth. I have another one that is very similar but with no sides. I did at least walk outside to use the paint booth (this time :D)

What are you using for your trees? They look like just want I need.

The trees are a mix of JTT and W/S trees. I try to put the JTT to the outside and bigger W/S trees to fill and then I use some small W/S trees, clump ground cover and clumps that have fallen from the trees to create some undergrowth in places. If I had the spare $$$, I would go with more JTT trees and less W/S trees.

Thank you Joe! That's very kind of you and it goes both ways. Watching your layout progress has been very motivational for me to work on mine. :)

We have been driving each other on our layouts my friend. It's great to see what we've accomplished and look forward to seeing the next project. A model railroad is never completely finished because they keep making new stuff. Haha

AAaannnnndddd now you know why layouts are never really "finished". There's always something new to add. My poor wallet...:p

Coming to a layout near me soon. Special thanks to the friend here that 3d printed them. Lighting wasn't great for the pics but you should be able to get the idea and see the scale.

Talk about tiny!!! They will look great on your layout.

You see them all over the place in Oklahoma.

Nice! Have him use orange filament. Then no painting needed. :)

    Small for sure!

We consider them the state weed here in Georgia and the construction barrel is the state bush. Roadwork ahead is the state greeting and speeding fines doubled in work zone is the state motto. :D:p:ROFLMAO:

These were resin printed so not sure if that could be done but for sure that would have been cool! Hopefully they won't be too difficult to paint.
