I Think Fox Valley Made a Special Run of Milw. Rd. Beer Cars for a NSC Convention in 2013? I built this from a MT 40' boxcar. I added the ribs with .010 brass rod, added the lumber door to the 'B' end and used brass tubing four the tanks. This cars were used to transport thye used grains that were used for feed. I found the decals on Ebay from a K-4 seller...……………………..
Marty, you're correct about the NSE/NSC doing a special run of this car. Nice job on yours! K4 Decals has quietly released a bunch of decals in N Scale. They have an e-Bay store and also sell direct if you don't feel like giving e-Bay a cut of K4's revenue. Some sets do more than one car. I've heard good things about them. I have a set of Virginian and Ohio decals from them in my "to do" box. https://k4decals.com/
Used K4 decals lately for a bunch of DMIR hoppers. Strong, but not too thick-great product. Good job on the beer car Marty! Happy 4th of July to you all.
K-4 has numerous different road names AND date sheets in various fonts and colors. I found them pretty easy to work with. I'm surprised, No SP or UP that I saw. Good Milwaukee.. Over all, I liked them. I'm stripping two more boxcars. A single door for another beer car and a double door for a 'Veneer' car.
