If at first you don't succeed try again. Next he will list it as an Athearn.

I saw a guy at Lowe's today that had a t shirt on that read...

    Off-topic advisory...

I had to check my own A1G listings to see how this AHM brand autorack is different. There is an extra placard on the right side of the racking that the A1G version doesn't have. The racking on the AHM version has solid "beams" versus "ladder beams" on the A1G car. That's a little hard to explain.

We now return you to ridiculous listings, already in progress :)

.............ten bananas and free shipping.............not too bad if it runs, I suppose........................ It ain't no Bachperssonn, to be sure, although the quality of those Mehanos and of almost any B-mann of that era was about the same: pretty bad.

The real Bachmann GP-40 locomotive from the early era was noticeably overscaled, a bloated looking thing. As a kid, I was enamored with them on the hobby shop shelf. As I grew older I then realized how strange they looked. Thankfully I never bought one.

I had one. Acquired back in 1972. It was indeed obviously oversized. But way back then it looked better than some of the minimal other offerings available.

I have one, found it in an apartment that i was cleaning out when worked as maintenance crew for the owner. At the time I was 16 through 18 and the owner was a local CBS TV news anchor and his son worked with me.

He is advertising this as "new". Did he run across some hobby store's unsold NOS? Even if it were new, I would pay five dollars for it, but, no more.

I got one hundred seventy five for my NYC six cat set and ninety something for my four car set. That LL plastic frame E-unit is worth about twenty, although I have seen them on FeePay for thirty five, or more, which is far in excess of what they are worth.

It does look like he did something with the trucks and couplers, though. The couplers appear to be Rapido. I can see the contact posts from the trucks on some of the photographs, but, something just does not look right about those trucks.

Found some $0.99 N scale iron ore cars. I decided to bid on all 8 of them when this message popped up:

    Buyer Requirements

    error
Sorry, you are not allowed to purchase this item

This is about the stupidest thing I've yet seen. The shipping on these is REALLY high, I figured buying a bunch would make for a better deal, I am bidding on four of them, I hope I lose. For the record, I haven't bought anything from this seller. For some reason no one is bidding against me...

Is it possible to withdraw your bid? Not familiar with eBay's rules.

"...who have not purchased 4 or more items..." ??? I am trying to decipher this one. Is it possibly to block out those who buy solely intending to resell?

I've read and re- read the listing but I don't see anything odd. Again, no one is bidding against me or on any of the other ore cars. What do they know that I do not?
