Hi, everyone. I hope all is well. I'm wondering if anybody knows what might be happening with Miller Engineering and their plan to re-issue limited runs of their downtown series. Pre-order or first-come first served? A lot of interest was shown for the idea. I am still hopeful. Jim
April 6 update from Chris Miller: The Z structures have been put on hold right now. At this point it is just me working here. If the world gets back on its feet I am hoping for late fall. FWIW, I had already updated my site immediately after that email to reflect "end of 2020": https://zscalehobo.com/website/microstru_numbers.html Last run (2009?) fire stations are still in stock, so no need to wait for re-release. Thanks, Frank. I suspected something like this would happen, Covid19 and all. It still sounds hopeful. I can wait. Plenty of other things to do. It did not look like the lights for the Crestline theater are not being re-issued. Jim
Based on .... ? I wrote in my Crestline Theater page: (availability will be verified prior to release). We won't know unless we hear something from Miller. If he doesn't, pick up one of these: https://microstru.com/Experimenter-Kits.html
I did not see it on the preliminary list of kits being re-issued. I also did not see the Gulf gas station or the Starlight Drive-in. I have a Crestline theater kit but no chase lights for it. I think they made more theaters than chase light kits. I hope I am wrong about not seeing it on the list. Jim
Right, Gulf Gas Station, Starlight Drive-In and Parkway Diner are not going to be added. Link to original thread here at Trainboard where I explain what's coming and what isn't: https://www.trainboard.com/highball...ing-is-considering.129434/page-3#post-1121442
