A local featuring a GP15 which is getting rare around here is holding main one as the midtrain DPU blasts by on a stack train. This is literally right in front of the Roseville hump. I suspect that the GP15/GP40 combo actually hold one of the jobs around the City of Sacramento rather than starting their day in the yard.
An old one from the archives- Not the North Pole, but further north than any other Pere Marquette Berkshire ever operated, 1225 gets her tank and canteen topped off by the local fire department at Grayling, MI. This was sometime in the 200s. The exact date escapes me.
More steam. I decided to revisit this old slide taken June 10, 1995 between College Station and Navasota, Texas. My newer scanner seems to do a better job than the one I used the first go-around. This was an excursion where they let everyone that wanted to get off for a photo run by. Everyone behaved and formed a photo line so we could all the the shot.
Any history on this list soul? Sierra Railway had one for a long time and it also loitered on the Cal Northern from time to time, but that particular one had been out here as recently as 5ish years ago. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
Not really, sorry. Just one of those random finds. No reporting marks that I can see in any of the pics I took of it. It was coupled to a FURX unit and a UP unit. Best I can tell based on the TRRA units, this must have been in east St Louis so she could have been at home or in transit. If memory serves, I had been to a plant in Mattoon and this was a drive by shooting on my way back to the St Louis airport. Here's a shot of one of the TRRA units.
Scoular Grain's elevators, just south of Silver Bow. Track in foreground is the UP and you can see the interchange lead between the two operations.
