I recently had the opportunity to show my plant in Saint Mandé (Paris). There my 2 NOHAB impressed with sound and the self-driving trucks.

A dear friend of mine bought a new camera. I brought my favorite trains to him and together we made a video! Here is the result.

Rainer, That is a *lot* of material to transport!! The viaduct is great, the angle makes it visionary, and the tall back drops make it surreal !!

Yeah, that is a great collection of cars! Just the cars we need to be available in bulk.

I agree. Why are automobiles so rare in z scale? I don't see many in either media, 3-D, cast metal or plastic. is there something about making them in bulk that is the problem? I would like to see mid-decades versions of popular makes and modules so one could populate a scene without a MicronArts model T passing a Marklin solid-cast rubber version. One of these days...Jim

A video of some of the modules that would have been at the NTS in St. Louis.

    Enjoy!

That was fun, short and sweet, the polar opposite of something like The Old Port Shop, but they are both great on a "feel" level.

    Hi Folks

last weekend I make a video about my layout Zuzwil / Swizerland.
I catch a lot of trains, also somme specials :)

In these days, I´m testing the automatic programm (iTrain) for max 8 trains (ok, some locos
need a revision, so it works today only with 5 trains.

    Enjoy the video:

Ooooo LOTS of trains. This gives me TWO (2) [zwei] ideas:
    1) On a looping layout, have that divergent train enter a staging yard while another runs the other way. Jürgen uses 2 end loops. With T-Track modules separated down the middle, a ladder yard could be used. It really makes that layout busy and you just can't look away !
    2) This type of module/layout is what I like and have enjoyed on our Altenbeken visits. The LOWER foreground scenery and higher background Mainline. I and am going to start this way with T-Track.

Ok, but, I need to figure in Matt's 100+ car trains :)

The annual Marklin Insiders film included a topic on the z scale layout "Diemeltal" (valley of the Diemel river), which was build by Dirk Kuhlmann (see Sven's posts for his other work!) for Jorg Erkel, owner of 1zu220-shop.de. Diemeltal is his homeregion.

In the topice Jorg tells about the region, the now abandoned railway station and their effort to revive the early days with active traintraffic on a 16 feet z scale layout.

The voice over and interview are in German, but just take in the pictures of the area and the layout and enjoy ;-)

Always awesome work by Dirk! BTW there is an English voice over, select the English flag on the marking.de website (don’t just let your computer translate) and you can find it.
