Here is an update on my module posted last year This is preliminary work on a grain mill I have been scratch building for the modules. Silos are from PVC pipe. Buildings are from sheet styrene. Some small parts are from my own 3D printer. Truck is from Shapeways. 20200427_001352_resize by mrrextreme posted May 1, 2020 at 3:12 AM 20200427_001408_resize by mrrextreme posted May 1, 2020 at 3:12 AM 20200427_001442_resize by mrrextreme posted May 1, 2020 at 3:12 AM
Real nice! I always appreciate any grain facilities. Are you modeling it after one in particular or free lancing?
Hi, Joe This is going to look great. I love seeing grain silos in action. Unfortunately there are not many in my part of the woods and they would take up a lot of scenery space. So, I will watch you build yours. These silos were torn down in the mid-90's when the Baker Chocolate factory was redeveloped into condos. Jim
Thanks. Grain facilities are one of my favorite industries to model. The prototype for this model is in Delaware. I wanted to model a facility that did not require selective compression. But I also wanted enough interest/complexity so that I could learn how to model in Z.
Thank you. I understand your sentiment about grain mills gone by. That Baker Chocolate factory looks neat.
