Good morning from sunny, well not yet, Central Illinois where it is now -6 degrees! Winter stopped in today for a visit and that grumpy old man has zero social skills. I also feel like today is a holiday of some kind but my memory isn't what it used to be. Onward! Saturday: Nothing really planned other than work. If I have any energy, I'll work on the CTC board for the layout. Sunday: Despite the visit today from ole' cranky, Sunday is supposed to be in the 40's with periods of sun. That means I can work in the garage. With that said, I hope to cut the 1/8-inch plywood and build my "kit" of what will be a modular attachment to the B&M layout. This attachment will hold the CTC board, throttle holder, pen and un-coupler tool as well as way bills. We'll see how it goes. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. Oh, I remember that holiday now! I know, as men, it is just another Hallmark, female invented holiday, but we who have a woman in our lives are fortunate, so treat her right today. Like always, we'll return on Monday to see how we all did, so be safe, have fun and remember... HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! & High Greens!
This is a long weekend, for me. Saturday: We are taking our Granddaughter to Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Travel town to see and ride the choo choos. And, perhaps the zoo. Sunday: Not sure. We will still have our Granddaughter. Daytona 500 for sure. Monday: - We will still have our Granddaughter. Sooooo....??? Tuesday: Hopefully, get some MRRing done. Y'all have a great weekend!! Wolf
For me it is: Saturday - clubs monthly meeting and fun/run/day Sunday - Daytona 500 Monday - complete tax return and get it filed Two out of three is cool but I had to ruin the mood with #3, but I have to be a good citizen Carl
Saturday I plan to clean up the layout room from construction trash from the hidden sidings I installed over the previous weekends. Also plan on working on the 2nd bridge over the gorge at the center of the layout. Sunday, will probably be working more on the bridge as well. Time allows, I may have a "tangent" project that spins off.
This weekend should be productive. I’m feeling better so now it’s time to catch up and get the module done. New completion date for me is now Feb 29.
Continuing my project to reduce box mountain. Perhaps more work on an unfinished HOn30 box car. Will see how ambitious I feel.
Thinking I will try and get some more interior building lights wired up and work on the bridge scene a bit more. After that, who knows where inspiration will strike. Thanks for being a good citizen Carl. I'm going to wait a few more weeks before I start down that path. Glad to hear you are feeling better Kevin. Box, hope you make good progress on the mountain. And to you all, I wish you a good and productive weekend!
Still not at 100%. Last weekend I had bronchitis. This weekend I have a sinus infection. Just more energy is all.
Continuing the scenery of the East Binghamton section of the layout. Here's where I left off last weekend, detailing the River bed and banks.
OMG, if my wife ever read my earlier post she would string me up for sure. Saturday 15th - I will do the club stuff, BUT I failed to mention that we will celebrate our 57th anniversary.
Still slow progress. Went out for lunch of chicken biscuit and Dr. P. Decided to make a previously delayed purchase of a 1/16'' hole punch. Used coupon.
