Hi Everyone. My name is Marc, I'm in San Diego, and I'm reentering the hobby for the first time since I was a kid. I'm 53, and I'm building an N scale tabletop layout in my condo. It's 5.5' x 3', and it's in early construction. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and checking out others' handy work.
Hi Marc, Welcome to Trainboard! You will find lots of great stuff to help your modeling efforts here. Don't be afraid to look and see what people in other scales are doing too, because you might be surprised.
I usually look at everything. My childhood layout was HO, and my dad had his childhood Lionel still back then. Both were "lost" in a move unfortunately. Thanks for the welcome.
Welcome to TrainBoard! Please share you progress. Photos and a track plan drawing would be great fun to see.
This is the layout currently. As in, it's on the baseboard in temporary form and running at the moment. I'm using Kato unitrack and I'm having some issues with shorts that I'm sorting out. I think I just need a couple more feeders, but we'll see. Also, it's 66 inches now.
Hi Marc, welcome. I like your interesting design. Check out the N-Scale forum. There are lots of folks with Unitrack and power feed experience who'll be happy help you.
Welcome aboard! Love San Diego. Was stationed at Balboa Hospital back in ‘82 for Hospital Corpsman training.
